all good choices. One that is under the radar a bit is ST's tackle of Arrington of the Cards on a 3rd & 2 (or was it 4th?) to close the game. It wasn't one of his monster hits, Arrington actually cringed when he saw him comin & didn't even plow into the line to try & get the 2 yards.

Marshall's tipped INT against the Eagles was pretty huge.

also, portis to cooley on an option pass. I think it was the 2nd giants game, can't remember exactly. Perfectly executed play.

Agreed... those plays, to me, were like the Lavar interception that turned the season around for Marty. (Please don't let the name "Lavar" highjack this thread...)

I think it may have given Gibbs the confidence to throw it downfield more.

I love that play! The fact that Shockey is crying to the ref for a good 5 seconds while Lemar is running downfield with the INT is CLASSIC! Case in point why I hate Shockey; what a whiney little b!tch!

That was 4th and 2 with time running out! JJ arrington was a wasted pick for the cards..

a running back that's afraid of contact... brilliant!

I know, what a female. I think Taylor was coming full bore and JJ was like, "No thank you." and laid down.

Although there clearly more than 10 great plays last season, I bet that redskins.com gets all cheesey with one of the picks and say something like "The Many Faces of Clinton Portis" and just talks about his press conferences.

Will Nick Novak's OT winner against Seattle make the list? He was an unproven rookie who just watched a veteran miss the game winner a few seconds before but he still nailed it, TWICE!!!

no, because:
A) He's a kicker
B) He's not a very good kicker (so good, we fired him for a injured john hall with a 40 yard max range)
C) He's not even on the team

The fact that he's not a very good kicker makes that kick all the better.

Re: Redskins Top 10 Plays of '05

Speaking of Nick Novak, how about his game saving tackle in the first Dallas Game? Nothing better than a local kid in his first NFL game saving a kick back return at the end of the Cowboy game.

My vote for the top 10 would have to be Ramsey getting tossed to the ground like a rag doll in the first game. Without that play it would have been a totally different season.

I'm not sure of the player or the team. It was a long pass play across the middle Taylor was coming full speed and the WR pulled up and never went for the ball.

Todd Pinkston did that in 2004, but I'm not sure if that was Taylor on the coverage then.
