Re: My 2006 TO Prediction

QB is a bigger issue than the wr corp cuz if your qb cant get the ball out then it doesnt matter whose receiving and a split team also isnt going to play well together and we were a better team last year than previous, so my point is there was more than just TO that led to two victories, you cant just say oh well TO wasnt there thats why the skins won

The Eagles were also a Super Bowl team that year, the Redskins were 6-10.

TO wasn't the main reason they won those games. The fact that they were a much better team is the reason why they won.

TO had little impact on those games, just like what he'll have this year.

Hmmmm. Two wins.
You're really oversimplifying things.

The Eagles were a team in turmoil all year, McNabb was hurt, they had problems that went beyond simply missing their star WR.

The Redskins were the better team last year, TO wouldn't have made a difference in either game.

Right. It just wasn't the fact that the Eagles were that damn good that year, it was the fact the Redskins were in a similar turmoil that year as well. Poor QB play, injuries to key players (Jansen), TO made no difference.

Re: My 2006 TO Prediction

just as the cowboys thought the monday night miracle was a fluke, the fact they were that close was a fluke. it was more like the drubbing we laid on them the second time. thats how good we are... even though torrin t ucker sucks.

Re: My 2006 TO Prediction

im on 5rings side here(alittle bit, anyway) but greg williams does know how to game plan against owens, which is one thing the stats do prove. matty's point of the eagles simply being the better team(god that hurts to say) is why the eagles won both games in 2004. macnabb was the difference in both games

Re: My 2006 TO Prediction

It's mainly going to be if Rogers is up to the task of covering Glenn one-on-one. If he can handle that, our backers are more than capable of handling Witten.

I do admit to oversimplifying things a little, but I do like to hear from the guys that admit that the pick up of TO changes the Dallas offence signifigantly and post their reasons as to why the Redskins will win.

All of our opinions become dust when the two teams take the field.

Traditionally over the past 2 games, T.O.'s statlines have only been so-so vs. Washington. GW will be using the same defenses he used before and has more to use this year. The focal point will be to shut Owens down and I agree with SBF, I don't think he will score. Someone will score for Dallas though, Julius Jones I think, as I am predicting a season split.

The Home game vs. Phili was ours for the taking, Ramsey just made a bad decision on first down from the 30. He had played a good game too as we matched the Eagles statistically. It's just unfortunate.

I think he's a great pickup and he'll probably have a big year.

However I'm not worried about him going up against our secondary is all.

Just in general, if the past has told us anything, whenever the Skins and Cowboys are on the field at the same time, it's the definition of "any given Sunday".
