Re: Impressed with Jason Campbell

One thing I can say after looking at the replay of the Clinton Portis tackle, he sure did his best impression of the Rock's "rock bottom!"

Campbell throws a very pretty ball. He still needs work though, obviously.

I really hope Buck makes the team, hes got talent. Yes yes, hes a Cane, but I watched him play for his entire career. He was always a backup, behind 3 guys that are, or will be first round picks (shockey, winslow, and now Greg Olsen, who will go first round).

Cooley is obvioulsy the guy at hback. But I think Ortega gives us more talent then Fauria or Johnson

I liked Campbell too. I'd like to see him get into the game earlier next game. Hopefully see some action against at least second stringers. He was very impressive. He made some really nice throws tonight, hell, he was the only QB who looked like he could have held his own. Brunell and Collins looked pretty bad.

There is no H-Back anymore, Cooley is now a tight end and Sellers is a fullback.

Plus, "Buck Ortega" is another awesome name on a team that has a virtual lock for the coolest named roster in the NFL.

Buck Ortega actually sounds like a name Portis would come up with for one of his weekly costumes.

Re: Impressed with Jason Campbell

Campbell looked good. I loved the pass to Ortega, but that bullet to Espy over the middle, man that was sweet. He does have "pocket presence" and a serious arm. But he's gotta learn that quick NFL D and the crzy zone blitzes, hot reads, and stuff. We'll see!

Collins was like a bad joke. WTF? This is your big audition to be #2QB on a team with a 36 year old QB and a coordinator who loves you, and WHAT do you do? You throw an INT to a lineman??? ANd then get a safety when the lineman can't catch your second INT???? Ack. I hope it was just an off night or some bad calamari or something, but dang.

LOL, I think he's got a case of the, "I haven't suited up for a competitive game of football since Clinton was president" syndrome.

Re: Impressed with Jason Campbell

I think that would be great if at a press conference tomorrow:

Reporter: Todd, what the hell happened out there?
Collins: Dude, I had the worst calamari for lunch

Re: Impressed with Jason Campbell

he would be so lucky if that was his only problem. i am really impressed with jason campbells pocket presence. i thought when he played last preseason that most of the time he looked awkward and lost, but what a difference a season makes. experience is is biggest problem right now. that and he has to keep learning a new offense every year
