It's the worst thing for the tiebreaker, this is true. I'm projecting the final record at 13-3(+-2). I think a 13 win season in a division this strong would speak volumes. I don't see any other team better than 10-6. That gives us a large gap for error without tiebreakers coming into effect. UNless in just dead wrong. But we will see.

The catch is, as I said in my last burgundy army article, we need the bye to have serious playoff chances. So nothing less than 12-4 will cut it. (12-4 wins this divison, easy. No tiebreaker) I believe this is very doable. The key is to get to the bye week with one loss.

So what I'm saying when I say a loss to Dallas is OK, is that we have one to give in the first 7 games (this is not the way Gibbs is thinking about it, do not worry. its just a fans perspective), we will probably be playing w/o Springs, and maybe Portis, and it's the hardest matchup of the bunch.

No one here will be complaining about a Dallas loss if we were to begin 6-1.

Move Sean Taylor to CB for the Dallas game and he can shadow TO all day. I'm not joking. We start 2-0 with or without Springs.

Seriously, it's somthing to think about. He has the speed but you'd have to play him man to man...but lets be honest, in man to man situations, the WR is going to win more often than not. I think its going to have to do alot more with the scheme we place on the Dallas offense more than anything. Could Preiloiu possibly play corner? I really like what i've seen from him.

It's true! The Ade really came on last year at the end. He's arguable further along than Carlos Rogers right now.

The idea of putting Sean Taylor on TO is interesting though - it'd be a lot of fun to watch, for sure.

the idea of taylor at corner is a very interesting thought for 2 reasons. first, i think taylor could do it. and second, i like seeing preileau(sp?) on the field. always around the ball

Taylor probably won't play CB, but I'm sure he'll be hawking over T.O. regardless.
I agree about the 2-0 part. Our D-line is gonna be all over Bledsoe.
Go Skins!

Honestly, I'd prefer that Taylor just give safety help over the top. Rather than get burned deep, I'd MUCH rather us give up shorter passes than have Pierson playing deep and Taylor at CB.

Taylor needs to stay at safety because it's easier for him to strike fear into the cold black hearts of both t.o. and terry glenn at the same time from that position.

Although, I hear glenn still has night-terrors about Taylor. That's the word on the streets.

Re: Springs out likely till week 2 or later...

Springs will be back by the Dallas game. I remember last year he was hurt and he was like, "No way they're keeping me out of this one." Hell, CP will be back for Minnesota. Cross your fingers for no more injuries this offseason and things will be right back on track starting September 11th.
