Gmanc and I were talking about this over IM yesterday. We think it'll be the most hilarious thing ever if we totally blow out the Vikings on MNF. It's almost like it's a huge joke.

I really hope this is the case. Our team hasn't been very good since we last won a Super Bowl, so I've been waiting for the other shoe to drop after last season's vast improvement.
I'm ready to blow some people's minds when the real season starts.

On a side note, got your IM Grillz. Since you are coming, let us know exactly what pass you got, and we'll just have a massive tailgate.

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff

I've been reading a lot about this stuff from Saunders today and it seems like the offense is a totally different offense in practice. The players are getting frustrated that they don't get to show it, but at least there's an explanation.

Good morning and so far, we have Gmanc and parents, myself, my fiancee, jdlea and friend, Warpath said he's stopping by with wife (will stay the whole time if he can get rid of his tailgate passes). AMD says he'll stop by...

that sure sounds good. wait and trust him...i hope they know what they are doing

a lot is being said, but i'd rather see something done. withholding judgement, but do you really expect PR from ES to negative in any way?

I mean, did saunders tell the OL to not block people on purpose? did GW ask his players not to tackle? there are some basic things that haven't been working like they should.

Re: Saunders' post practice comments--good stuff

True, our o-lineman have been losing a lot of one-on-one assignments, but Saunders is trying to find everyone's strengths and weaknesses. As the man said, "it's a process" and I'd much rather have Saunders' offense struggling in the preseason with the results that he's gotten in the regular season than Spurrier's preseason explosions followed by reg season sputtering.

It definitely makes sense, otherwise why were there so many checkdowns to backs running the same flare pattern in the flat? I want to see some success, but I can wait until the regular season. The coaches seem to know what they have and come Sept 11th they will show it.

Can I get in on that bet for 21 points against the Vikings? I just moved up to Montclair so I'm local now!

Why is everyone acting like Saunders just came out of a college offense? I mean what does the guy have to have on his resume for people to trust him? Apparently having the top offense year in and year out doesnt mean a damn thing to anyone...

You shouldn't be too surprised, after all people didn't trust a Hall of Fame coach when he came back to the game.

I will pray that you guys are right about this. I'm almost sick thinking that this season isn't going to be a good one for us. We were all so pumped up and ready and these last few games took the wind right out of our sails. I can only hope the Skins know the drill and are ready to rock and roll on 9/11. I'll be at a business meeting all week and will have to run back to my hotel room on 9/11 in time for the game. I'll have to sneak out of dinner, but I just can't miss it!

Here is what you need to understand. Yes that was a top offense...but the personnel is a little different here and i dont think they were the top offense when Al Saunders first went to kc. All i can say is i trust the fact that he does know what he is doing. If you good back and look at KC's stats when saunders first arrived. That is all you need to see.

KC never had the weapons across the board that we have right now, specifically at WR.

Something tells me Saunders can't wait to unleash all of these weapons.
