Burress said the "S" word on TV and now I'm sad.

Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06

Eagles let up at the end of the third quarter and it bit them in the ass. Eli looked very solid in the 4th quarter and OT. If can ever figure out how to put together four straight quarters, he's certainly got all the tools. For those that say he's overrated, I disagree. No one is annointing him a top 5 qb in the league, but I wouldn't argue against him in the top 10.

All in all I was glad to see the gint's make it a game and keep everyone 1-1 in the NFC East. Kearse didn't look good after that injury...have to believe he's done for the season. I feel bad for him, but I'll be glad if we don't have to face him.

How in the hell did the Eagles let that one get away. They were kicking ass for damn near three quarters. Sounds cliche but it's true....you have to play sixty minutes to win 'up here'.

Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06

man giants came back to beat eagles, awesome. espn will excuse it tho. good to see vikings win, its best for us if they just keep on winning and get their division since we already lost a tiebreaker to them. panthers start out 0-2 that is good and bucs do too. great results today for us

how about Kansas City winning at the half by a score of 3-0. I never would've thought that possible.

Merriman is the next LT, not Lavar.

Same can be said for Chicago; they look freaking dominante.

How bout Tampa Bay....they look like hell averaging a whooping 1.5 points per game after 2 weeks.

Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06

I felt sorry for Antonio Pierce as neither of the other Giants LBers are worth a damn. Lavar looks slower and more clueless than he did last year which is quite an accomplishment if you think about it. The Giants front office should get used to hearing phrases like "pig in a poke" or "taken for a ride" and "you're fired". Carlos E. is equally worthless.

The problem the Eagles have is that you can't put a team away when you don't have a physical running game. Neither team impresses me all that much. Minnesota on the other hand...

Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06

I feel like LaVar looks really slow too. Did you see him completely miss a tackle on McNabb in the 4th?
I feel like he also looks really small. I'm really starting to believe that 'roid rumor I heard a few months ago.

Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06

Funny thing about Tampa...Gruden pretty much inherited Dungy's team and they've never been quite up to par since he left.

On that same note, I bet Brad Johnson is giving a few teams the middle finger right about now!

Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06

BTW, why the hell did I start Derrick Mason over Coles in my fantasy league today? I feel like a huge jackass, especially since I'm probably going to lose because of it.
