Re: T.O. taken to hospital

And the circus begins!

Now a serious question: Is this a violation of the substance abuse policy? Should TO be suspended for four games?

If so, I propose a couple of defenses for our good pal:

1) "I thought they were M&M's"
2) "I was too stoned to know what I was doing"
3) "Rosenhaus told me they were magic touchdown pills"
4) "I didn't take all of the pills - I've been selling them to the O-Line for a profit"
5) "Parcells is really stressing me out - blame him"

Guys, if this is true, then I think this is no laughing matter. Let's back off the jokes until we know if he's full of scheisse or if it's as serious as initially reported.

Exactly. Depression is a very serious issue, and when you get so depressed that suicide seems like the best option then whatever jersey you wear or whatever team you root for is irrelevant

Very true, and I do feel for the guy if he truly is that depressed. It's very sad that he has so many gifts yet he is so tormented and unhappy. He has been very self-destructive and that is a clear sign that he has been depressed for a long time.

Re: ESPN Report: Terrell Owens attempts suicide

I wonder how Jerry Jones feels this morning. I bet he wishes he could take a few pain-killers.

Seriously, though, T.O. needs some time off. T.O. needs a T.O. He's a danger to himself and he could be a danger to others.

Re: T.O. taken to hospital

I heard T.O told the cops he tried to commit suicide. This story is getting very weird.

According to a Dallas police report obtained by News 8, Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night. The report says Owens was depressed and reportedly took prescription pain pills. A woman companion states that she observed him putting two pills in his mouth. According to the police narrative, the woman said the prescription of 40 pills was filled on September 18 and—until Tuesday—Owens had taken only five pills. The police report said Owens was asked if he had taken the rest of the prescription; Owens said, "Yes." The Dallas Cowboys said they have no comment on the reports, nor do they have any news conference scheduled.

Re: T.O. taken to hospital

My heart burn with TO has always been that here is someone with incredible gifts that allow him to play the best game there is -- and he doesn't take care of it.

Clearly, he has some demons. I feel bad for him, but I really feel bad for his family.

Re: T.O. taken to hospital

Alright, now this is getting weird.

I'm not going to assume these are false reports, so I'm going to take it as true....

and if the case is he seriously tried this....then my prayers are with him, as much as I've never liked the guy...this is very serious.

I hate the guy as a player but this isn't even funny. Let's hope he gets things sorted out.

Good looks on changing the title. Surely a separate thread would have started.

Don't worry, there's still time.

The over/under is 1 hour until another thread is posted.

Any takers?
