Re: Can somebody please tell Madden to shuttup
one thing that was funny today was moose talking trash to shockey in the middle of the game (when the NYGs were at the 2 yard line). telling him he needed to hire an acting coach since he was so horribly bad at selling the push off.
then you got to see shockey get annoyed and try to argue with him 15 seconds before the play started. that was pretty good. |

I only noticed Stockton call someone by the wrong name once. I think he called someone Scott and for a second i thought he was talking directly to me because I was still drunk from the night before. So that was fun. It also seems like Fox bascially told Goose to shut the F up, which he did for the most part. That bit with Shockey was pretty funny. I would be happy if they fired Goose, but as long as he isn't talking too much I guess it's okay. More on topic; I think I have to agree with MJG on this one. If it weren't for Madden's video game he wouldn't be as loved as he is. He's become a transcendant figure in the NFL and so he gets a free pass to be the way he is. Granted, he is a legend, but even legends get old and need to ride off into the sunset before they just become caricatures of themselves.

Re: Can somebody please tell Madden to shuttup
i don't really mind moose that much, but i do like it when he talks less. he's much more knowledgeable than susie colbert or those other wasted minutes.

Re: Can somebody please tell Madden to shuttup
I actually got into a verbal sparring match earlier with this thread, I think it is just bad luck.
Maybe it should be locked.

Re: Can somebody please tell Madden to shuttup
I can just picture TAF screaming at his computer, "HEY! Who said that? I'll lock this damn thread. That'll end your PRECIOUS little shit talking pretty damn quick, eh?"
Is that a realistic discription?

Re: Can somebody please tell Madden to shuttup
I have always liked Madden calling games....I liked it best with Madden and Summerall...just reminds me of our glory years! You knew the game was big when they were calling it! I guess some of us older fans appreciate him more.
