Re: Why Keep Watching?

Because like all of us I'm in it to the death & I have great memories of Gibbs I.
But also because we are ONLY 2 games out of 1st. Crazy as it sounds this division is up for grabs, & we still have a shot. Granted, we need a miracle, but we should be healthy in 2 weeks. If we beat dall. its a new yr.

Re: Why Keep Watching?

i have been watching since 1970, and it is kind of like a marriage. but in my opinion, if you bail out now, we dont want you back when times get good. and they will, at least i keep telling myself

or is it because you live in a van down by the river?

I'm a Redskins fan, and no matter how well or how poorly they do, I'll be sitting in front of the TV each week watching them play. That's how I roll...

Re: Why Keep Watching?

Im gonna watch the rest of the games, but only the first half and the fourth quarter, throw out the third quarter cause thats when we get killed! Everytime I see an opposing QB do a play action, I close me eyes and cover my ears (and try to find my happy place), cause I know whats gonna happen, a 35-60yard pass play where AA is ten yards behind the reciever, and it goes for a TD. Play action=TD against the skins and everyone knows it.

Re: Why Keep Watching?

I watch because I love, and I love because I watch. It's a vicious circle.

If the skins are getting their asses handed to them though in a game, I'm must stop watching less I wish to be consumed with rage and have a heart attack.

I like losing just as much as winning cause i get offered tons of free tickets once we are out of it. Ive seen more november skins games than you could imagine, don't think we've won any of those games i went to

Re: Why Keep Watching?

Not really a question for me. I love watching football, and more specifically I love watching Redskins football. Win, lose, tie, whatever... mabye I was just brainwashed growing up, but I'll always watch.

Re: Why Keep Watching?

I will continue to watch because Im a die hard fan and no matter what or where I am I cannot live without watching the skins. It does drive me nuts when they look horendous out on the field but regardless I'll watch. Another reason for me is its entertainment. For 3-4 hours every sunday I forget about my job have a few beers and think about nothing else but football. ( I guess it usually stretches all day sunday) I've been there when they were 1-15 and I was there when they won 3 superbowls. I will continue to watch the Skins no matter what.

We haven't had a 1-win season since '61 when we were 1-12-1.

Our worst season since then was '94 at 3-13.

I know, I still got your point and applaud you for it. I just had to go check to see when we were 1-15 because I didn't remember it.

Why would anyone want to abandon one of the most sucessful franchises in football history?

The problem with the ticket owners doing stuff like this is that fans of the other teams always end up with more tickets. I missed the game against the cowboys last year but I'm willing to bet that there were relatively few boys fans there.
I'm dreading going to the game on the 5th because I just know FedEx is going to be crawling with them.

Why?

They act like asses all season long and when the Skins stuff them for once the cry like little girls.

How could you stand not seeing that drama?

Re: Why Keep Watching?

Good to see so many committed to continuing to watch the team, I like that. We are all frustrated as hell right now but I know we'll get over it when the team starts to play better. Believe me, through the years I've witnessed much worse than what we're going through now, so I'm going to keep the faith even though it's difficult.
