Re: This week against Philly
not gonna beat a dead horse, we won...we are all HAPPY!
I would agree this is very winnable...and with the need to firm up 3rd down D. in the past, we've struggled with defending mcnabb (when he tucks and runs) and westbrook (screens). though this year, with our lack of blitzing, perhaps we match up better. i mean the 7.5 spread is kind of a big deal- though i'd be a buyer of washington.

Re: This week against Philly
We're all happy, but its safe to say we "stole" that game. Games have been stolen from us for years. Yes, we made the play when we had to, but Dallas shot themselves in the foot. Even the players know that. It almost feels better to steal one from them like that.
This game is winnable. We need some TO's & a better effort running the ball. Nothing new. |

Re: This week against Philly
In general our red zone offense has been pretty good. I agree third down defense needs to tighten up, but I think that was something flukey, because overall the defense played pretty well.

"This is very near and dear to me," McNabb said. "I took a lot of pride in the design, the comfort level and the look."

Re: This week against Philly
We didn't so much steal it, it was handed to us.
The TO drop, the Cooley drop, the Fauria hold, the Cowboys' dropped interceptions, the Skins' inability to run the ball into the end zone, all of that resulted in a tie game at 19 with two minutes to play. So all of the crap that happened before that evened out. But from there, we allowed the Cowboys to march down the field in 30 seconds to kick a 35 yard field goal, and Jason Witten handed us the game by not blocking Troy Vincent. After that, Sean Taylor and Nick Novak made great plays to seal the deal. But nobody would argue that Witten's missed block was the key to the entire game. We didn't steal this game. But we didn't win it either. The Cowboys lost it.
