I know who I would de-activate but that ain't gonna happen. (It's Arch, as if there were any doubt)

My guess would be one less defensive lineman. Montgomery or Evans. Wasn't Evans active last week?" When I realized we still had him I thought, "Why the hell is Carter even playing?"
Fauria's been hurt. We had 4 backs last week, but Moss & Patten? bein healthy changes things. Is Patten ok?

I love Gibbs all the sudden realizes that maybe he should use Duckett. But at mentioned, how is he gonna do it? Maybe he can put him on the roster as a different position, and play him as a back, if that is even possible.

Obviously CP and Betts arent going anywhere. So the question is who to not dress, Rock or Sellers. I think Sellers would not dress, bc we need Rock for special teams.
This is why the Duckett trade is sooooooooooooooo horrible. He doesn't play teams or fullback. One guy taking up a roster spot that will only come in a couple plays a game. Sometimes he dresses and still doesn't get in the game. If Gibbs had a clue what he was doing he would have used Sellers in that role and saved the frickin draft pick and the roster spot. If a real GM was here this move would have NEVER EVER happened.

I saw Patten on redskins.com working out; he looked okay.

If Patten is also active that would be even tighter. That would mean that two other guys that were active against Dallas would be inactive against Philly if Duckett is active. You would definitely lose someone off the defensive side if that were the case.

The trade was bad in hindsight. At that time, they didn't know when or whether Portis was going to come back. Duckett was an insurance policy, albeit a high-priced one.

he may pan out to be an excellent pick up. Right now, as long as he performs, we take the least expensive of him and bettis, and let the other go on to have a pro-bowl year in philly.

Interview with Vinnie yesterday on Redskin lunch. Larry asked why TJ not playing. He responded, it is taking longer to find a permanent home for TJ because he was brought in as insurance for Portis as his injuries were thought to be far more serious than they turned out to be. Since Portis is obviously playing................

The Rock has a home on teams. HE STAYS

Betts, Cartright and Sellers could have carried the load if Portis had to miss time. Look what happened to Green Bay last year? They lost all their RB's and Samkon Gado came in and ran the ball well. Carolina had two backs go down last year. Some 3rd string guy named Nick Goings comes in and plays well. You see it all around the league where guys get hurt and someone comes in and plays well. The trade was bad in hindsight and it was bad when they made it. You just can't panic when someone gets hurt and give away valubale picks. This is one of the reasons the team has no quality depth.

Betts' history shows he's injury prone and he was a little nicked up at the time the TJ deal was made too. Now you're down to Rock who's ok in spot situations but we'd be in trouble if he had to be our starter week in and week out.

Good for his marketability though.
