It's all mental... the guys just don't care. You have to care to play good D. The Bucs wanted to win and they played like it.

They're FOOTBALL PLAYERS, if they come out and truly suck ass, THEN start to worry.
isnt this the same coach, when sean taylor was a rookie, that said he put him into positions to fail(get burnt)?

Yeah, honestly, I was like whatever, when we were kicking ass at the time, but NOW I'm like, PUT IN ROCKY.

Re: Reasons to be positive?

What I wanna see the rest of the season is Rocky getting a start, and TJ starting so we can decide if we want him or Betts, we've seen what Betts can do. If this happens I'll be happy

1) the defense can't be worse
2) it's possible we finally have a real qb... still too early to tell.
3) the FO has finally... oh wait, damn!

at least there's some promise.

What you just said is that we need to fire our entire D and rebuild. If they don't care now they won't care next year.

His schemes have been deciphered by OC's around the league, and he dosen't have the personel to alter the schemes he had been using with success. The reasons are multiple, age, injury, and lack of enough talented players up front to accomplish his intent. OC's have figured out the blitzes, and devised blocking schemes to combat them, and as a result our pass rushing abilities have been reduced to mediocre.

You're probably right Malcom, because from what we've seen so far mediocre would probably be an improvement. A pass rush has been nil and void all season, and with the current personel on hand, it WONT get any better.

I think we're almost the lowest in sacks.

Campbell is the only reason to keep watching.

Also my thoughts exactly. I was actually somewhat excited after the game, even though we lost. And the only reason for that is Campbell looked pretty promising.

Re: Reasons to be positive?

Hence the reason I got pissed that the defense kept on giving up these time consuming drives where we couldn't see him play!

Re: Reasons to be positive?

Let's put it this way, I would love to play against our defense. We are the least threatening defense in the league. Our offense at least catches people's attention with campbell at the healm, and those receivers.
