Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today
When I hear old stories about Coach Gibbs knocking over tables and punching holes in walls, I just can't seem to wrap my mind around that. It seems so out of character from what we normally see. He may have some age on him, but apparently he's still got it in him.

Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today
I've really come to despise a lot of the guys on this team. Not just the FA acquisitions, people I thought I liked. They seem so content to walk around with a glazed over expression passively wondering what's going on with the team. Bums. Let's hope Gibbs is finally instilling some accountability.

Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today
I think Gibbs thought he had his guys focused from day one, and week after week they let him down. But he never called anyone out publicly and I can respect that. Hopefully this lit a fire up their asses...

It's about damn time! Maybe we'll see a little life out of this team!

Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today
I'm not sure how much of this I really believe. Looks like the only one who lost his cool was George Michael.
The account I read was that the meeting was "intense". It didn't come across quite the way George Michael reported it. |

Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today
This is all the Redskins need to do:
Power play The power play gives a gap scheme, meaning the offensive line has angle-down blocks preventing the defensive end from penetrating. It also creates double teams at the line of scrimmage. The tight end blocks down on the defensive end, the front side guard blocks down on the nose guard, the fullback kicks out on the outside linebacker and the back side guard pulls around for the guard. It is a hard-hitting off-tackle play. Tailback counter Another gap blocking scheme is the tailback counter. This is a misdirection play where it initially looks like it is going in the path of the fullback. The offense can pull the backside guard and tackle. The guard kicks out the outside linebacker. The fullback fills weak to allow the tackle to pull and to give the defense a misdirection look. Notice again the gap blocking which eliminates penetration by the defense.

Re: George Michael reported that Gibbs FINALLY lost his cool and went off today
It remains to be seen what effect Gibbs's venting will have because I have a feeling it may be a little late for that at this point, despite the fact it was neccessary.
What I want to see for the remainder of the season is who's going to be there now that we don't have a postseason berth to look foreward to. These next six games will determine who want's to be here, and who will be someplace else next season. I'm going to be looking for those anxious to miss time with various excuses, as opposed to those who are going to be a fight to the very end. These last six games will determine, and seperate the warriors from the slackers.

Well hopefully we'll see a new Redskins team on Sunday. Maybe Gibbs finally got his shit straight.

George Michael is such a tool. Seriously. He's Gibbs' puppet.

i want cambell to do good for the rest of the season, but we have to tank the season to get a top 10 pick because we don't have that many this up coming year.

Line up I formation. Sellers in as the FB, Duckett as the HB and run 50 gut all day.
I want to see Carolina's line prove that they can out man us in our house. Make it a fist fight. Draw the line in the sand and punch each other in the mouth. Who ever gets up last is the winner. |
