Vick is not a pro QB and no team will ever win a championship with a Vick at the helm. Run and pass QBs just dont win Super Bowls. They are ok in college but that college stuff does not work in the pros.

I agree his WRs stink, but that doesn't change the fact he's still a horrible passer.

Knowing our luck watch him light us up for a career day.

THAT would be typical Redskins luck. Then we get to hear another Vick press conference about how his critics can shut their mouths when he "lights us up" for 12/30 passing for 2 TDs and 4 INTs.

This may be way out there but what if Atlanta keeps Schaub, and looks to trade Vick? Could you imagine Vinny and Danny licking their lips if something like that happens? JC would be holding the clipboard again.
whats that stuff called that you are smokin no vick no thanks....we are fine with campbell he will have his moments but that comes with time like everything else.

That is the most ridiculous thing I have heard in a while. First of all, Danny and Vinny to not make the personel decisions. Joe does, and if Joe brings in any one to compete with Jason it will be a vet. (Green, Garcia) No way this organization buys into the overhyped player that is Mike Vick. He does not fit what gibbs or saunders invisions running that offense. He has a less that or maybe equal to 50% completion percentage. And committs too many turnovers. Jason Campbell is the future (for now) lets not through our stupid scenarios where someone else comes in and takes his job. they spent way too many draft picks on this kid not to give him a chance to play.

On a funnier note, if we DID sign Vick, you could hear the collective orgasm from the BMF household thousands of miles away.

Vick is an incredible deep ball passer. I watched him at VT & the bombs he threw were on the money. Plenty of strength, maybe too much. He is not a good touch passer in short routes, but can throw some intermediate routes very well. His timing is not good either, typically hits guys in the head as they turn around in their break.
But, I must disagree w/the overall assessments of some on the warpath today that he's not good. His wr's dropped 5 last sunday & he rushed for 166! Vick is taking the blame for a TEAM that's flailing. The d is banged up & is givin up big plays, even a hail mary to end the half, and the passing game is weak due to 2 major factors IMO:
1) Vick is not suited to the west coast O, he's a strong armed deep passer that can scramble like no other. The west coast O features a lot of short timing throws that he doesn't do well. He had is best season under D. Reeves.
2) Despite 3 former 1st rnd. picks at wr, they can't seem to get anybody to step up.
Time will tell, remember how poor a passer Mcnabb was early on? He didn't have as much of a natural arm as Vick, but he improved greatly & is now a top qb, well if he's healthy. Vick needs to work on his game, but he's still a difference maker & don't be surprised if he burns us sunday. With so many guys on the falcons from va. they will have a lot of their family & friends there & will be on top of their game. I would much rather play them in atl.
On a final note, I would not want to see us acquire vick even if it were cap friendly, JC is our man & I think he has the potential to be a better qb & leader.

Re: What are the chances of...

We have a young QB that we've invested a great deal in, as well as one who has just begun to develop. To me, there's no need at this time to think about another QB, espically one that's experiencing the kind of problems we definately do not need at this time. Later for Vick, I'd much rather he be the problem for Atlanta than for us. Plus, he's not the type QB that would fit well with what we're trying to do.

If we traded for Mike "The most overrated player in the NFL" Vick I would become a Steelers fan. He is not a good person at all, so I don't see this ever happening as long as Gibbs is here.
