I don't know how you can have JC as a bright spot of this year. He has only started in three games which we have lost two. His average yards per game is around 150 yards, 50% completion, and he has three int. I'm not saying he does not have the potential to become a good QB but saying he is a surprise of the year is just dream.

I disagree. In my opinion, JC has been a bright spot. Obviously I was looking at more than simply statistics. I think his stats will come with time, by the way.

But it's become evident thus far his presence can change the dymanics of the offense and how we game plan some. He's made some throws already that we haven't seen in a while. If you want to look at his stats, sure we could nitpick all day long, but things like his poise, movement in the pocket and out of the pocket, his arm, down field vision are all positives. (see Jason Campbell thread by 12thMan).

In the end, I think he's definitely given this team a lot to look forward to next year.

Yes he does have most of what you have said but his numbers do not say that he is this surprise. Romo has been a big surprise but I'm sorry Jason has not been. Your doing what you accused MB fans of so take off those JC glasses.

Like I said, his numbers is not what I was focused on or why I chose to mention him as a bright spot. And comparing Romo and Campbell is almost like comparing apples to oranges. Romo is a 4 yr pro, Campbell is essentially a rookie.

I think Firstdown's point was that despite all the poise, mobility, arm strength, and vision, that Jason Campbell has yet to "get 'er done" if you will. I don't think he was trying to say that he hadn't shown us anything.

That's all important stuff, but it's stuff we knew he had (possible exception: poise) before we drafted him. I think we are all anxiously waiting to have his breakout game, and trust me it will happen, but I don't know if he's anymore of a bright spot now than he was a month ago.

So yeah, for now I agree with firstdown.

That's fine, no problem. But if it is indeed important stuff, and if he's doing those things..(four of which you mentioned in your reply) then it is a 'bright spot', as far as I'm concerned. The team as a whole hasn't been getting 'er done, all season long.

And what 12thMan considers to be a bright spot and what Fistdown considers to be a bright spot may be two entirely different things.

They never should have benched Brunell, not until ALL playoffs hope were lost..... Yes, I said it, and that's how I feel and I don't care if you guys don't like it!!
