Re: Mort on the Portis trade rumors
I would be pleasantly surprised if they traded Betts. Not because I have anything against him but because it would be very savvy.
Think about it: - They showcased him and he thrived. - They resigned him to backup money. - His value would probably never be higher than it is right now. And because of all of these good reasons....there is no chance in hell that they would do it. |

L Tomlinson L Johnson F Gore W Parker These guys all carried the load and I probably forgot a couple. It doesn't happen as much but it can be done. I know that Portis has plenty left in the tank. The ridiculous rumors were started by people who can't see the big picture. The same people that annoited the Giants then Cowboys then Chargers and now the Patriots. The same type that says Taylor is the greatest player to ever suit up after the Carolina game and then say that he is "mediocre" because he had to pick up the slack for an injured defense that lacked talent on every level. |

Re: Mort on the Portis trade rumors
do you guys realize how many football fans wished their teams owner would spend money? snyder isnt a football man, but i dont think anyone would argue he is trying to do what it takes to win

Full disclosure (3/19/06): http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-l...no-talent.html If your personel guys know what they are doing, your owner doesn't need to spend a bunch of cash. NOTE TO THOSE WHO THINK A TEAM CAN'T HAVE A HEAD COACH/GM: The personel guy of the Iggles is Andy Reid.
