Re: Let's do it: SB Predictions!
and further more
Why do professional atheletes shamelessly deliver praise to Jesus every time they win a significant confrontation. I mean, do you really think the Lord gives a shit about first downs and red flag challenges? Is the Lord up there in the Big Ol' Sky starin' at his Big Ass 1080i Hi Def Flat Screen Plasma LCD HD TV that he "totally doesn't even know what that means but he wants it". What if there isn't a Lord after all. What if the Lord that Jim Irsay is referring to is Lord Helmet from Spaceballs. Well I would comb the desert and while we're talking about sand, do you remember that shit about "Footsteps"...well I guess Jesus, needs to update that shit to read...""My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I helped Jim Irsay and the Colts defeat the Patriots, you selfish bastard. . My Son." i'm surrounded by assholes |

Spaceballs TAFKAS, Spaceballs! Dang...Came out in '87, it's a Mel Brooks classic. I know this is officially completely off topic and that was not my intention. I just really get steamed to hear money-mogels toss a parade on behalf of something that has nothing to do with winning anything except Roman-Catholic Jeopardy. |

Re: Let's do it: SB Predictions!
I say manning showed me he is not afaid to stand in there and take a hit. And if the colts D resembles the performance of the last couple games, its lights out for da bears offense,

Re: Let's do it: SB Predictions!
As the bears D-line will most likely be missing their best 2 players, I'll go with the SB usual blow out. Call it 49-12 DA Colts.
Btw this article is relevant: SI.com - Writers - Lester Munson: Bears DT Johnson may not go to Miami - Monday January 22, 2007 10:53AM The stupidity of some people amazes me. This guy is going to miss out of playing in a SuperBowl because he wants to be a gangster instead of a football player. |

Re: Let's do it: SB Predictions!
If Manning plays horrible and the game remains close, then I'll say the Bears. But if Manning breaks that Chicago D, and it turns into a shootout, the Colts will win easily. The Bears don't have a good enough offense to keep up in a shootout.

Re: Let's do it: SB Predictions!
I see this game as very similar to the Giants/Bills (Norwood miss) Super Bowl. The Colts have a great O (like the Bills) and the Bears have a great D (like the Giants). I remember back then the talk was how the Giants will never be able to keep up with the Bills but the did by keeping the Bills O off the field. If the Bears can keep Manning & Co. off the field then they will win. I think they can do, and if I'm getting 7 points I like it even better.

I'm pulling for the Colts, but I feel like the bears are going to win because of their defense, running game, and special teams. Bears - 27 Colts - 17

Re: Let's do it: SB Predictions!
I think both defenses step up and have huge games, leaving this to be low scoring. Manning will struggle, as will Grossman, and it'll be up to Gould and Vinatieri. While I'm pulling for the Bears, Peyton will make Daddy proud.
Colts 18 Bears 12
