Re: John Mclain, hall Of Fame Voter, discusses Art Monk
While he is right about one thing, that no one should be attacking him. Beyond that the entire post was garbage. Who cares if his wife is a Redskins fan? What was that b.s. about Cowboys fans and class? Everything that he described can be used to describe a portion of every team's fan base. He can't escape the Cowboy bias that burns deep inside, that is obvious. The way he structured the article made it sound like the majority of Redskins fans act that way which is untrue.
As far as the comment about the fans that can read. If he knew anything about demographics he would know that this area is one of the most educated in the country, but then he wouldn't be able to attack us and stereotype us as the "worst of the worst". He is still pissed about the '82 Championship game and if I were a Cowboys fan, I would be too. |

He looks like the guy from Office Space that invented the "Jump to Conclusions" mat. You know, that lucky bastard that doesn't have to work anymore.

Re: John Mclain, hall Of Fame Voter, discusses Art Monk
You have to wonder if something else is going on when the voters refuse to put Monk into the HOF.
And you then have to wonder if it has anything to do with the fans and the city itself. It seems that with politics and everything else, 'Washington' is a dirty word to the rest of the country. Even politicians who have been here for years run against "those people in Washington". I also think we might underestimate the feeling of NFL fans and media towards our owner. And like it or not, we Redskins fans are lumped into that general feeling the rest of the country has for this town. So I feel that there might be a certain amount of satisfaction gained by sticking it to us on stuff like this. |
