The worst part was our campus's grounds crew because they would try to plow throughout the storms, so there was usually ice everywhere. The campus itself is basically as flat as a football field and the ground doesn't drain well, so it was bad enough without them smoothing the ice out like a hockey rink (too many sports analogies). Now that I'm back in MoCo I feel like they run a pretty tight ship when it snows, even though they're not all that great.

AMD - the best was snagging trays from the dining hall and sledding down the steps outside Chesapeake.
Winter 2000, moving back to school Super Bowl Weekend, it snowed that weekend. You still saw snow and ice on campus like 3 weeks later.

Re: f...not having snow days
I had a guy a couple of years back come flying by me and just as he was going by his car started to spin. It was spinning right in front of me and it was like slow motion as I could see the look of horror on the guys face. he ended up going backwards at an angle off the road and down a hill and we just watched each other as he disappeared. I kept going.

Re: f...not having snow days
Was that 2001? Because I remember the massive snowball fight between every dorm building my freshman year. That was pure insanity. Too bad there weren't ANY hills in the 'Bury to sled down.

Re: f...not having snow days
I remember slipping and sliding all over the place moving back into 2C for Spring 2000. Jojo turned 21 like 2 or 3 weeks later, we had a fire drill, and when I sat him on the bench outside, he propped his feet in a mound of dirty snow.
But I do remember the massive snowball fight from 2F after moving back in for Spring 2001. That was insane as well, it went on for a few hours.
