Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
Atlanta, Jax, San Fran, and San Diego above us. I'll put KC and Pitt above us for the fact that they have been good for a relatively long time. So... 123456 7

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
I'm thinking we are in the top 5. I'm basing that on last years performance. One could say "well we lost Dockery", I never thought he was that great anyway. I'll bet that whoever is in the LG position they'll be at least on the same level if not better than Dockery. I'm thinking Wade will start off the season and I'm hoping Whitticker takes over later in the season so we can have some youth on the line.

I think I'm more inclined to lean toward your ranking, BSB. I would say maybe 8 or so. Again, my main contention is we didn't have a winning record. But I don't have a problem with 7, or 5 for that matter. |

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
With the lingering problem at LG I would say we are somewhere around 10-12.
This experiment with Wade is not going to work. |

This is being modest, I'll say #6 overall.

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
GTripp, you might regret asking this question here. You're going to get answers from all over the map. Where do you think they rank?

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
I asked the question because I didn't think my position on how good they were was any stronger then the next guys. By averaging the responses in this poll, I hope to get a rough estimate of where Redskin fans see their offensive line at right now.

I do agree that we don't have a bad offense outside of the o-line so it is not like our qb's wrs rbs, ect are pulling down our offense. However, it is interesting- i don't think one team i named in the top 7 is top 10 in overall offense. Very int-er-est-ing....hmmm Moreover, I still feel the fact that we weren't top ten in offense is not to say we we didn't(w/ dockery) have a top ten o line. I think it brings up more questions about the functionality of our offense under Saunder more than anything else. Though it was just the first year of the system. |

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
The offensive line is one of the strengths of this team. Chris Samuels is a perennial Pro Bowler. Randy Thomas and Jon Jansen are worthy of Pro Bowl selections. That makes this group top five. They were able to protect the quarterback effectively and produce two 1,000+ yard runners. The only other offensive lines that are comparable are Indy, San Diego, Kansas City and maybe Denver. There are some honorable mentions, such as New England, Pittsburgh, Chicago and Seattle. The Redskins boasts one of the best lines in the league, definitely the best line in their division.

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
Yeah I think that although Campbells numbers weren't that great last year that it can't be blamed on our line rather his inexperience. I think we will get a much improved Campbell this year! Anyway, uhhhhh yeah #6

Re: Rank our OLine among the 32 teams
No better than top ten. This line has underachieved in years past based on talent. They should have been more dominant and they have not done that. The thing is they have had garbage QB's forever so who really knows? If Campbell is the real deal then I don't doubt the Oline could move up to top two or three in the entire league.
