Re: Long time
I think Romo is a big question mark for them. After a fast start he really struggled down the stretch.

Re: Long time
I'd agree with you if Parcells was still there and they were building on last year, but it almost seems like a rebuilding year for them with the complete coaching overhaul. I'll be very surprised if Phillips actually produces a winning season.

Re: Long time
The new scheme they are presenting I'm taking with a grain of salt. We had top ten defenses two years in a row and then GW made some changes and we heard how much the players liked it.
We all know what happened in 2006. The good news for Cowboys fans is that I don't think there will be a dropoff in 2007, but just hearing that the players love it doesn't make me feel any more confident in it. More good news for them is that if it takes a year to learn it ex. Saunder's offense, then next year they'll be pretty damn good. Bad news is, Redskins will have THREE years in Saunder's system.

However the game that we played two years ago had a hype about it that we rarely get. Tickets prices were through the roof and everyone was excited pre-game too. The anticipation which lead up to such a beating was great. I utterly enjoyed every freaking second of that game. The fans were in it like i've never seen at fed ex. Cowboy fans left in shame. We've had 3 extremely great wins to remember over the past two years against dallas. Their one win wasn't worth remembering. Our 3 wins will always be remembered by me. I love all those games for different reasons. F... DALLAS. |

Re: Long time
And since we've taken 3 out of 4, it's starting a little bit of a trend. Unlike after the Monday Night Miracle, Dallas fans were like, "Ohh, that's just luck."
3 out of 4 isn't a luck, it's a trend and you can no longer give us that bullshit of, "Well, well, remember 13 out of 14?!?!"

And that pretty much sums it up. And we lost the monday night game in 2006 is because Portis didn't play.

I like the Boys D, but I don't think the O is anything to get excited about. Julius Jones is not that good and Romo needs to return to his early form and not continue to play the way he did down the stretch last season. |

Re: Long time
I believe the Skins look promising this year.
Campbell will be in his second year with the same offensive coordinator for the first time in his career. Last year he only really had problems with short passes, and he should be able to correct that pretty easily. Apparently, he has been living out of Redskins Park and watching a lot of film. He might not set the world on fire, but I don't see him as being an obstacle to our success. With the exception of LG, the offensive line has been together for quite a while. A lot can be said about consistency on the offensive line. Although we lost our LG Dockery, we should be able to compensate for the loss. I expect our offensive line to play at the same level they did last year. Of course, our offensive backfield is in great shape with Portis healthy and Betts to spell him. We've got plenty of options at receiver, and with Cooley at TE it will be difficult for the opposing defense to cover everyone. I think it will come down to whether or not Campbell can beat the blitz consistently. That shouldn't be too difficult if we have another successful season rushing the ball. I think the biggest question is the defense. Will G Williams' new simplified scheme be able to turn this underachieving defense around? Will the additions to the secondary improve a unit that was terrible last year? Will we get consistent pressure on the QB? I think the addition of MLB Fletcher will make a HUGE impact on the entire defense. He'll make sure that everyone is where they need to be -- a big thing that was missing last year. I think the entire defense will be more comfortable and players will trust that others will be in position. This will help our defenders focus and help them to not spread themselves too thin. A big problem last year was that our secondary was trying to do too much. I think having Fletcher on the field will help to put the secondary at ease. Our defensive line is probably the biggest concern heading into training camp. Everyone will be mainly looking at Carter, Golston, and Montgomery. Carter's play started to pick up at the end of last season, and we all want to know if that was a sign of good things to come, or just a fluke. Golston and Montgomery are young, and if they develop into solid players it could help propel us deep into the playoffs. Good things have been said about both of them, but we'll want to see if that is just hype. Hopefully, our guys can stay healthy. Injuries trump everything else. If we can do that, I think we'll win the division.

Me too. Maybe even the best game I've ever seen.

I don't agree man what about the saints last year they changed coachign staff the changed half the defense and QB I think if you have the talent which the cowboys already have and if the new scheme isn't that diferent or complicated like Sauders 300 pages playbook players can adapt. |
