Re: Updated Depth Chart from Redskins.com

does are for just pre-season.

Cause we said we would start Landry ASAP but this is for pre-season and in the Saints game they didn't start Deuce.

Re: Updated Depth Chart from Redskins.com

I think that based on last year and this years knee Betts should have been named starter until Portis proves he's back.

Think that Landry should have been named instant starter.

Wade turning from Tackle to guard is something to watch.

So... you would name Betts the starter based on last year until Portis proves himself, but Landry who is an unproven rookie at this point gets the instant nod without winning the job??

Interesting.

Yes.

PP blew the knee to shreds and shouldn't be named starter before Landry, the 5th overall pick and best defensive player in the draft.

The Portis thing is basically an ego thing for Clinton. I'm sorry but what have you done for us lately? Name Betts starter b/c he deserves it and maybe it will light a fire under Portis's ass.

The grammar police is out again!

I think Landry will get a ton of time with the starters before the pre-season is over. He gets the start in week 1 vs the Fins.

If I'm reading it right, Thrash is #3 and Lloyd is our #4 WR.

WR1 = Moss, Thrash (3)
WR2 = Randel El, Lloyd (4)

If anything I'd look at it the other way. Only because Randle El is likely to be out of the game more often than Moss so Lloyd would be "#3"

It's about time we brought it some depth to light a fire under Ethan Albright's lowest-Madden-ranked-ass.

Re: Updated Depth Chart from Redskins.com

I don't get the Prtis bashing going on all over the place. The guy had injuries for one season. He busted a shoulder on a freak play and busted his hand on another. Now the tendy in the knee is of concern but plenty of guys in the league play fine with it. It isn't an immediate excluder. Could be a big issue but maybe not. All of sudden though Portis is "injury prone" and a guy who played well over half a season is supposedly better than a guy who reached 5000 career rushing yards faster than almost anyone else in history?

"What have you done for us lately?" Umm he carried our team offensively for 2 1/2 seasons is what he has done for us lately.

I think it's just one person that said that stuff about Portis; I think the majority of Skins fans share your opinion.

Most of us agee with you.
However, Portis has had a slew of injuries over the years. Portis has only played a full season 2 times, his rookie year and 05 when he had 1500+ yards for us.
But I will still take Portis over Betts any day. Even Portis at 90% is better than Betts at 100%.
