This is the only time of year you ever hear about Taylor Jacobs.

Rod Gardner, that name brings back memories. Rod fell off the face of the planet after he left the Skins. As for Jacobs I don't think he is going to start with the Niners, San Fran already has Jackson, Battle, And Lelie, I see Jacobs as more of a 4th WR in their system.

Re: Taylor Jacobs

My man David Patten is having a pretty good preseason as well, I hope things turn out well for him in New Orleans. Brees is tearing it up as well. They look fierce

Mike Nolan has openly said TJ is the #3 right now. As former Gator and Skin, I hope he tears it up.

Patten is an excellent fit in that offense. He will be a favorite target for Brees, IMO.

It's a damn shame that we couldn't get more use out of Patten, but I wish him well. Brees has a soft spot for short players.

Re: Taylor Jacobs

I bashed this guy in the Wash Post forum for years. Never heard of a guy that had an opposing player accidently land on him after a play keeping him out for an entire season with an ab injury. After that I knew we were screwed with a MR Glass type. I hope he has overcome his injury jinx. He had so much potential of being a decent pro with us but always seemed to miss out with sort of lame ass injuries. Just was another Spurrier Gator that didn't pan out for us.
