Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Who knows... with our track record...we'll end up drafting a stud and potentially starter a couple of years down the road.
Godspeed Brunell. You had a great career with us. Let's see what we can do in 07 Campbell.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Not so sure I like the sound of this, I would still feel much better starting MB over Collins if JC were to go down.
But hey, at least this will eliminate the ridiculous thinking that Gibbs couldn't wait to get his church buddy back on the field at any cost! |

And I agree about Collins. If I were a defensive coordinator I would be drooling like one of Pavlov's dogs at the prospect of facing Collins. And Palmer, he's a clipboard man all the way.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
How is Seneca Wallace moving to TE at 5'11, 205??
Maybe WR? |

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
I was questioning that part myself. But that is what they are reporting. I think that they mean WR, however they have said it more than twice.
Edit: I wonder if they were in the trade talks when they locked up Seneca for another 5 years, and if that was Seattle's plan all along. |

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
He might have bulked up over the offseason. Still, he's played wide receiver in the past so I wouldn't be suprised if they just moved him to WR instead of TE. They keep saying he will be moved to TE though.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I think it's a risky move. I haven't seen Palmer play, but if he's as bad as you guys say, we may have to put ARE in as our #3... doh!

That might not be a totally bad thing. I mean he didn't start playing WR till he was drafted anyway.

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
nice joke, or maybe not such a nice joke. I'll leave that to the WP mods et al.
The 2nd post on this thread included a quote, but that quote wasn't from the 1st post. Hmmm.... |

What part of it was on live television after the game did you not understand? There is no link. They are still talking about it now. The deal is not done yet, however they are still talking about it as we speak. |

Re: Rumor: Brunell heading to Seattle
Maybe the thinking is to move Brunell while we can still get something for him. We didn't want to trade any future draft picks for 08-09 but were forced to b/c of the guard situation presenting a need for a guy like Kendall. By trading MB we could recoup that pick. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean we are set on Palmer as a 3rd. He could be relegated to the practice squad, still learn the offense, and we could pick up a vet off the waiver wire after this weekends cuts. Just a thought. And they HAVE to mean Wallace is moving to WR. TE isn't possible at his size.
