Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

This one will be a lot closer than the game against the Lions.

Redskins 24
Packers 17

ST with a pick-six that will be the difference.

Once Chicago took that away it was a different game.

I see us having trouble running the ball and for that reason the O gameplan might more closely resemble last week's than the D. I think AS was given more freedom by Gibbs. We passed on 1st down a lot, used the pass to set up the run.

Let's face it, right now we can't pound the ball on anybody in the 1st half. The right side of the line might need more time. Detroit shut our running game down until we had a good lead & their D was on the field all day. We've got to continue to throw on 1st & 2nd downs & be unpredictable.

This game might be very ugly, but we win after picking Favre at least twice.

Ahhh....I see few less Redskins loss predictions so far after last week. Thats good, cause we're going to continue to roll.
Gregg Williams and Greg Blanche are licking their chops at another oppurtunity to CONTROL the direction of the game. Look, we know Detroit did'nt have a running game. Breen Bay does'nt really either. Its used more then Detroit, but when it comes down to it, Green Bay is Favre, and he's going to throw...ALOT! That means the defense will play back like we did last week and try not to give up the "big play." We are bound to get interceptions in this game. Lets just hope we capitalize on them. As I predict this game will be close when all said and done. After all it is *Chris Berman voice* "THE FROZEN TUND"... Oh wait!...Its 70 degrees in October in Lambeau Field right now...hehehe

Redskins 24
Green Bay 23
But then again....you all know I'll never predict a loss

They aint no lions, but the aint no scrubs.

Redskins 27
Packers 13

If that's different than my little thing on my profile, I don't care, I'm too lazy to change it.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

Redskins 31
Packers 9

Sean Taylor scores the first TD with an INT return.
Portis scores 2 TD's, one from 40 yards out.
Sellers scores another by busting up the gut on the goal line.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

34-10 Redskins.

Favre will throw 1 touchdown to Donald Driver. They will get in field position for the fieldgoal only because of a Ladell Betts fumble in the 2nd quarter. Our offense dominates time of possession in the first half. Forcing Favre to throw more, and thus putting the games in our hands to run up the score by the end of the third.

Jason will have 2 td's and 1 int. Sellers runs for one. Clinton runs for one. Cooley and Thrash both catch TD's.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

Washington's defense proved that it can contain formidable passing attacks. Green Bay has shown that it cannot run the ball, but that Favre still has "it." I see favorable matchups on defense and, if Washington's defense continues to play like it has, Green Bay will not score more than 21 points and is likely to score 17 points or less.

I don't know what to make of the offense. Between Jason Campbell's lack of experience (just 11 starts) and the injuries to the offensive line, I honesty have no clue how well we will fare against Green Bay's young, and dramatically improved, defense. We've had trouble running the ball, which should not come as any surprise given the loss of the starting right side of the offensive line. Jason Campbell looked really good in all phases of the passing game last week, but struggled with his accuracy with short and intermediate passses in prior weeks. However, as our offensive line gels and teams gain respect for Campbell's arm, I see good things in the future for our running game.

Final Prediction: Skins 20, Packers 17.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

I think we'll win 24-14.
The Packers rely too much on the pass, and our pass D is stout...just ask the Lions. Their rush game is nothing special at all, so obviously the key is stopping Favre. If we can stop Kitna dead in his tracks, we can stop Favre too.
You can't stop a hall of famer 100% though, and I think he throws two td's and throws 2 or 3 picks.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

You can beat the Redskins D by running right between the tackles, but teams have yet to figure this out yet. Unless Green Bay does this week, it should be another victory for us.

Re: Redskins vs. Packers predictions

that was part of our strategy last week. I saw that too. For those of you Madden fanatics. thats L2, and then up on the d pad. I am particularly worried about what the draw could do to that scheme. We were relying on the coverage to collapse on the runner when they ran(seldom). That takes time to get there. Giving up 5-7 yds a running play is not my idea of fun.
