Classy move by the Bears organization.
As the cliche' says, it's the thought that counts.

Re: Bears-Skins Game Might Be Moved
I have one fear about all of this.
JLC & others have reported that the league hasn't been asked by the Skins to reschedule. If that's the case, I surely hope Snyer & Gibbs have communicated w/the players on this & asked if they'd like the game to be rescheduled. IF Snyder is making this decision on his own and the players want the game to be moved back, it would not bode well for morale. So far, the Danny has been nothing but classy in this mess, he even appeared to be sincerely affected. We never get to see him, much less see him show any emotion. I hope he's listening to the players on this. |

Re: Bears-Skins Game Might Be Moved
Well, perhaps we can take solice in knowing that there are quite a few members of the BEARS that were very tight with Sean also, and will also be at the funeral.
The BEARS have already stated that, so as to not have an unfair advantage over the Skins...they will not be practicing Monday because the Skins will not be practicing Monday. And, half of them will be there in Florida to pay their respects to Sean. So, I guess what I'm saying here is that this will be a very emotional game for both teams. Devin Hester couldn't even bring himself to talk to the media, even after he was name Offensive Player Of The Week. Apparently they were very close, and he is to distraught to talk. ...although, he finally did speak last night, but not about the "award". He only spoke about Sean. I do realize, of course, that Sean had much more close relationships with those on his own team. But, he also had close relationships with a lot of those that are not. I personally think that playing on Thursday night, coupled with both teams not practicing on Monday is somewhat fair. After all, postponing the game for another day does have it's drawbacks with fans that live out of state, and have already made and confirmed airline and hotel reservations. And time off work, and so on. But, of course, if the SKINS need more time, then the league should accommodate them. And these "fans", though they may hate to hear this, should try to be understanding. ...we're only talking another day or two. (although, I do realize it's a bit more complicated then that. Some fans simply can not afford to hang out at a motel for another two or three days. It's a terrible situation for everybody.) But, I can't help but feel that this is not asking too much, under the circumstances. I sucks for those that it adversely affects. However, I don't think that the league can really afford to tarnish their impeccable (*keeps from laughing*) image by denying this request. In light of all the bad publicity that other players have brought to the league, i.e. Tank Johnson, Pacman, etc., they MUST fulfill this simple, and very doable request. But, unfortunately (or fortunately for some)....they probably wont. I just hope that what ever the decision....it doesn't lead to any animosity between the fans. The REDSKINS have an AWESOME Fan Base....and I have a renewed respect. . .

Re: Bears-Skins Game Might Be Moved
I'm just glad we aren't playing the Eagles.
They might have asked the game be accelerated to, oh I don't know, 11 am Monday. J-Dawg.
