I would bring back Chris Clemons he's got 8 sacks this year or sign Danny Clark from the Texans (pretty aggressive player)

I noticed Clemons' stats too. It's a shame he got injured and we let him go.

Oakland and yes, he has 8 sacks. The guy was once pegged as a possible replacement for Arrington, but he struggled in coverage, got injured, and was cut. He's gotten spot duty in Oakland and it sounds like he's just a very good role-player (i.e., pass rusher).

That's pretty much exactly what he was here for us. He really showed up when turning the corner rushing from the outside, his quickness was great. He didn't get that many sacks for us, but I remember him always being around the QB when rushing. He was a hair away from a sack on multiple occasions for us. Good role player, but I still don't see him as an every-down LB.

I would still sign him, you can never have enough pass rushers. God knows we could use some.

I'd certainly like to get him back. 8 sacks from a guy who doesn't see the field often is pretty outstanding.

Chris Wilson basically plays the same position & role for us. It would be nice to get Clemons back, but would we keep both he & Wilson? My gut feeling is that the staff will want to keep Wilson & see if he can improve. He's had a decent year & it was his first in the nfl.

Yeah Marcus Washington has kind of been moved to this role as well at times. The LB who becomes the down lineman/rush end in obvious passing situations.

Depends what Clemons costs. If it's next to nothing, sure why not bring him in. But I wouldn't go spending much considering we've got guys who can do what he's already doing. I mean Marcus has five sacks of his own, and Wilson has two, and I'd guess that just about all of them come from the down lineman/rush end position on obvious passing downs, so we're basically getting the production out of that 3rd down rush specialist spot that Clemons brings to the table.

If you can bring Clemons in for next to nothing, then I think you do it and you let him take Marcus' place as the rush end in obvious pass situations, and then you can move Marcus back to a more traditional LB role.
