Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
Taken from dallascowboys.com...
He entered the game on the Cowboys' second offensive possession. But Tony Romo's first pass to Glenn was intercepted by Redskins cornerback Shawn Springs, who appeared to make contact with Glenn before the ball arrived. Glenn thought so, too, saying Springs went through his right shoulder to get to the ball. The only other pass to Glenn was the play he suffered the late hit from Landry. Glenn had beaten Redskins cornerback Fred Smoot off the line, forcing Smoot into an illegal contact penalty. While Glenn continued running down the field, he couldn't catch up to Romo's deep pass, and pulled up running before Landry took him off his feet. Glenn, normally not so outspoken, said the NFL "needs to know about hits like this." ..... And although he wasn't too excited about the hit from Landry, Glenn said he was relieved to know he could withstand a blow to his knee without a major setback. "I think the conditions were terrible for me to have my first game back," Glenn said. "I rather would've had a 90-degrees and sunny or indoors somewhere. But those were the circumstances I was dealt with. It felt really good to get hit for once." Even if he thought it was a low blow. WHAT A DAMN PANSY ASS!!! and I just love how they leave out the little fact that Landry was on his knees with his outstretched arms going for the ball. This was not even close to being a late hit. Not even arguable. |

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
You tell players to go after the ball and Dirty 30 was clearly playing the ball...if he really was trying to hurt him he would be out for the season.

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
Landry didn't intentionally hit him, HE SLID several feet and happened to hit him in his knees. Glenn needs to chalk it up to an accident.

man, wouldn't it just be great if Landry jacks him up in the divisional round?

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
I think we are talking about two different plays. The one where he just missed the int (the above youtube by LadyBrave) would've have been a legal shot to his midsection if he had been close enough to catch the ball. The other was field conditions.
Basically the Pokies feel that they will be playing the Skins in the playoffs and are setting the stage for a minimal contact game. They cry now and the refs and NFL play them with kid gloves next time. It's a smart and very wimpy thing to do. Hell, if I had to go across the middle with LL staring at me I'd be begging for help from the refs or anyone else. My only question is do they call it tight both ways? If so Roy Williams, Ware and Tank Johnson might get a few 15-yarders as well.

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
I read Terry Glenn's full post on their website. It is funny how they are acting like we are afraid to play them in Texas Stadium. We will continue to play the same way we are doing under Todd Collins wing, and that is good football.
As you can see in the clip, LaRon Landry was obviously playing for the ball. He ran, slid, and hit the ball (while Glenn was still running straight). He is just trying to get Landry banned for a game or fined. What an idiot! When we take care of the Seahawks this Saturday, I want to see him "full go" like he claim he is going to be. He will get shut out like yesterday lol. Also, I heard Owens have a high possibility that he may not be ready to return in the divisionals. |

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
Terry Glenn can't take a hit period. That is how you get to him. Jack him up early and he becomes a non-factor for the rest of the day. All of his routes are deep Flys and Posts. He never goes over the middle and drops balls when guys hit him. He is is such a baby.

I think they're just trying to find something to rally around and motivate the team. They're reaching for anything after getting beat this badly and they know more than likely they will play the skins 2 weeks from now.

LOL I can't believe this is even a topic of discussion today. Total non issue. Not our fault that Glenn is a crybaby.

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
I def think he was going for the ball, tripped and fell into Glenn's knees.
Geez just cause the Boys got bent over, without the KY doesn't mean they need to cry about it. Just bite the pillow and take it like a man.

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
Terry Glenn, the guy that never speaks. He is sure crying about getting his ass whooped on the field.
If the Cowboys won, no one would be discussing this. Cowgirls need to stick their tails between their legs and get ready for the divisionals. The game is over. You lost. |

Re: Terry Glenn "I think they were trying to hurt me,"
I tell you what, if they are somehow trying to draw motivation from this in a possible match-up down the road, I feel sorry for them.

Dirty Thirty plays big boy football. If Glenn can't handle it, he should stay home.
