Gibbs talking about how the Taylor situation changed everyone's life. Gibbs, Moss, and Portis spoke about Taylor in private this morning.

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
Reading through JLC's blog and some of the quotes from the players, it's really obvious how much they loved him. To a man it seems they all didn't want to see him go and really respected him.
Compare that to the outcry with Petrino or so many others, or just the tight-lipped approached of the Dolphins after Cameron. This team loved Joe Gibbs - no doubt about it. I don't think anyone there wanted to see him go yet.

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
does anyone else get the feeling he's hinting at the fact that the new head coach will be promoted from within?

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
I would imagine he tried his best to convince Snyder to keep his staff on and find a head coach from within. All these guys were his, you'd think he'd want to see them continue and succeed.

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
Snyder says they haven't started the process of hiring a new coach... So much for the Cowher reports...

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
Snyder just stated that they have not even started the process of finding a new head coach.
He also stated he's not had any conversations with Cowher. |

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
In response to a question regarding whether the team will stay "in house," Dan Snyder just said that "I'm happy with where we are and we have good players [etc.], but we have not even started that process [or hiring Gibbs' replacement] yet."

Re: Gibbs Press Conference
JG does sound pretty committed for a "consultant."
