Re: Give Saunders One More Year???

if the skins want to build on any momentum they had at the end of the year, he has to come back. and with coach Gibbs out of the way, we will really find out how good coach Saunders offense is

Saunders should be back and there's no question that his system works. It worked in St. Louis, it worked in KC, and we got a very good glimpse of it with Collins running it at the end of the season. Hopefully Campbell improves his timing, particularly getting rid of the ball earlier. Starting Campbell over in a new system would be a step back.

Re: Give Saunders One More Year???

Even though Williams and Saunders don't get along, it would be stupid if Saunders left. Jason Campbell will be in his 3 season next year in the system and he should blow up next year.......in a good way. Look at Peyton Manning. He wasn't the greatest after 2 seasons in his system. He's been in his system for what, 9 years now, and is very productive. Same with Tom Brady. Same with Matt Hasselback. I could go on with QB's who have been in their systems for a while and continue to be productive, but that would be pointless. Keep Saunders. Give Jason Campbell the keys next year and let him run with it. Don't hold him back.

The system clearly works, but it wholly depends on quarterback intelligence, the ability to make quick check-downs, and the ability to throw an accurate pass. Having a strong arm in this system will kill you if you hang onto the ball.

I really hope he's here next year and beyond. Bit like Matty already said it probably won't happen.

Re: Give Saunders One More Year???

In Redskins Insider this morning, it was reported that Campbell wants the offensive staff to return intact. This leads me to believe that Saunders would be amenable to return, since Campbell has historically stayed in close contact during the offseason with his coaches. There is no reason Campbell would say such a thing if Saunders expressed either a desire to leave or a strong doubt that he would be wanted.

First off these rumors that your talking about are based on absalutly nothing. Its mums at Redskins park and even the inside reporters do not have a clue as to what is going on. As if GW would want him. Who knows. We know nothing and what ever we have heard is just someone speculating with no facts at all.

Re: Give Saunders One More Year???

do you have anything useful to add bluestar?

it's pretty retarded that you come to a site that has nothing to do with your team, hang around like it were a cowboy board and add absolutely nothing of value to any discussion, ever.

i mean trolling's cool and all when you're like, 12 years old, but eventually you gotta grow up.
