The reality is that no decision has been made. You can speculate all you want, but you're just going to drive yourself crazy jumping on every tidbit of information that is posted about the whole process. Personally, I am taking the sit back and let the cards fall where they may approach, and have an opinion then. Like I said before in another thread, I'd rather DS and Company take their time and get it right, than promote someone solely for continuity's sake. Who's to say that Gibbs endorses GW as his successor in the first place. Maybe he IS pushing some of these buttons. I don't think he or Danny boy want his efforts over the last four years to be squandered anymore than us fans do. |

If Danny blows the whole thing up AGAIN!!!!, then we're looking at another couple of years of futility....AGAIN!!! I though Danny had learned his lesson!!! This is getting aggravating and I'll be pissed is Fassel is named HC!!!!

Methinks we need a GM, as Danny and his fluffer Vinny are TOO STUPID TO SURVIVE.

Vinny's new clarified position is basically the same as a GM.

You know what I would love to see but I doubt it would happen in a million years? Williams as head coach, Spags as d-coordinator just not with that title, and Zorn as o-coordinator.

Re: Complications with Zorn? A delay on Ryan?
Let me rephrase: Methinks we need a GM with a triple-digit IQ. Someone who understands how to value talent and manage the salary cap.
A Floyd Reese-Gregg Williams combo would be ideal, especially given that the two men are good friends from their Tennessee days and could work together effectively. Then again, Reese probably wouldn't provide Danny with sexual favors, so nix that idea! |

Doesn't Rex Ryan run a 3-4 defense? If he came to Washington he'd either have to work with what we got or try to set up a 3-4 defense which I don't think would be effective at all.

Re: Complications with Zorn? A delay on Ryan?
Was anyone excited about the possibility of GW as Head coach 2 weeks ago? Now you sprinkle in a little Mora Jr. and Fassell rumors... the prospect of GW is beginning to look great. I'm hoping that this is all smoke screen to have everyone appreciate Williams when he finally gets the gig.

Re: Complications with Zorn? A delay on Ryan?
It doesn't work that way. The league looks at the subtsance of the job, not the ridiculous title. Just look back when the Tuna was thinking of hiring the GM of the Pats away. As long as the tuna was making more cash, the reality of the situation was that regardless of the title, the guy was going to be the "GM" of the Fish so the Pats would be able to block the move.

Re: Complications with Zorn? A delay on Ryan?
Why is the FO looking at off and D coordinators? Isn't this the resposibility of our new coach? The new coach is going to take the credit and the scrutiny so why can't he choose who he wants on his staff? Now, maybe Fassel said he would want Zorn but Fassel hasn't been hired yet right? If thats the case just make the hire and let him pick his own staff (i hope that doesn't happen).
Our FO needs to step back make the right hire and let our COACH pick his people he wants with him. |

Re: Complications with Zorn? A delay on Ryan?
What's the big deal?
GW is an unproven head coach. An oft times Defensive genius. His last gig in Buffalo was........dismal, or would he not still be doing it? Relax,.........and see how it rolls out. It appears to me great thought and planning is going into the new look. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait
