Re: Soon-to-be-hire? Larry Brooks as the D-Line coach
Fassel I understand, but why do you think Schwartz is still in the running?
Isn't he a defensive guy?

Does that take him out of the running?

Re: Soon-to-be-hire? Larry Brooks as the D-Line coach
No, it doesn't.
I see your point that Snyder may go for someone he initially targetted if someone is already under contract and is making these moves under cover. I just don't believe that is realistic since he is still interviewing. But one of his points was he didn't think Snyder would hire a defensive guy because the staff hasn't changed much other than Williams. The real question here is Zorn's light experience on offense. That is why most think Snyder will go offense....otherwise Meeks and Schwartz would be the big talk vs Fassel and Mooch. Truth is, we dont know, but I haven't seen much chatter about Schwartz recently

My theory: if you are getting attention from the Redskins during this week, you probably aren't the guy.

Redskins met with Schwartz on Friday in Tennessee and I believe they might have spoken yesterday as well. The Titans offered Schwartz a two-year extension though and I think he accepted it. But if he didn't, that's a whole other story

Read this one....it seems their defensive strategies conflict...perhaps if Williams goes there, Schwartz may end up leaving Music City Miracles :: Titans Request Permission to Speak with Gregg Williams "It would be one thing if Schwartz and Williams had similar defensive philosophies, but they actually couldn't be much more opposite. Schwartz likes to play zone and only send very calculated blitzes, while Williams loves to play man and send the house."
