Yeah I think you're right. I went off a rumored number. Spoke too soon.

Welcome to the board

Hell, that's a bargain compared to Clements last year, right? What a deal!

Boy, based on history...this is a good point.
But, based on recent trends, I don't think they will vary from their plan....I hope

He's coming to a division built on grind-it-out run games. He had better be able to tackle. I guess in the end, I'm really not that worried. the nfc east is slowly moving away from being a grind it out division but he definately needs to be ready to tackle some darn good rbs

If he has to go against Darren McFadden then he'll be fine for two games a year.

He'll probably have a hard time against Portis/Betts, Barber, and Jacobs though.

Let the Iggles have him. We saw how he shut down the dynamic receivers of the Giants in the SB (please note the huge dose of sarcasm). If they want to overpay the guy, so be it. I don't think this will really garner any response from the FO here.

Yeah I don't think he's that good, and I heard he's got somewhat of an attitude problem...I hate the eagles, so I like seeing them get a guy like that.

He tends to do better against smaller WR's, so lets just get someone who can tower over him.

It is actually MORE than Clements' deal. Clements final year of the contract is one of those dummy years as is the money in it. Taking that year out makes it worth only 9 mill a year while Asante got 9.5 a year.

Re: Asante Samuel to the Eagles

I'm still suprised the Eagles got Samuel. They need a Wide Receiver badly, they have no one to throw the ball to. Oh well, I guess good for us that they continue to not have receiving thread?

Well if that Lito and a 1st round pick to the Cardinals for Fitzgerald rumor is true...

Fitzgerald would be a great pick up for the eagles.

If Philly can keep Brown, Sheppard, and Samuel on the roster, that will be one of the better CB trios in the league. I agree that Samuel isn't a huge upgrade if their plan is to move Sheppard.
