Remember all the flack with Jake Plummer last summer? He got traded to Tampa but did not want to play there, so he "retired". If he comes back from retirement, the Bucs still own the rights to him and he either plays there or gets released or traded. |

Re: Favre has decided to call it a career
With a 17 year career under his belt he's got plenty of other memories that trump his last throw, including a Super Bowl ring.

Re: Favre has decided to call it a career
Yeah pretty much, he left while he was still at the top, when people look back they are gonna say, damn he had a great season his last year and he took the Packers to the NFC Championship game, rather than say, he should've retired years ago.
It's gonna be different seeing a different quarterback trot out for the Packers next year, but all good things must come to an end. I'm curious to see if they are gonna stick with Aaron Rodgers or go a different route.

Thanks for all the good games Brett.

Good bye Brett. Easily one of the best QBs of all time, a good guy, and a legend for the NFL. Ill miss seeing his highlights every week.

Re: Favre has decided to call it a career
It's kind of appropriate if you look back over his career. He always was a risk taker...

At least we won't be subjected to months of 'will he or won't he' babble like the past 2 years..

Re: Favre has decided to call it a career
Congrats Mr. Favre on a great career. Walk away on your own terms and take the next flight to Canton. You will be missed by all football fans (except maybe the Bears and Vikings fans).
