Re: Trade for Boldin?

I would love it if we actually trade for Boldin.. He's a TRUE WR who does not complain or tries to get attention.. And I would prefer him over CJ.. But giving up a 1st rd for him kinda makes me to hesitate little bit but I would go for it..

I will kiss Vinny's feet if this trade actually happen..

What is a "TRUE WR"?

More importantly, did you even read the first post of this thread?

Re: Trade for Boldin?

Boldin has had a few really big years, in 2005 he had 102 catches for 1,402 yards, I'm sure he could handle being the #1 option.

Re: Trade for Boldin?

Boldin is worth more than CJ because he is just entering his prime. Drafted in 2003, 2008 will be his 6th season...usually the best year for a receiver.

A first rounder would be a high price for him, but I'd do something like our first for their third and Anquan Boldin.

Both Boldin and Roy Willams make more sense than CJ for us.

In only 14 games, no less. I'll take Boldin over Chad Johnson any day of the week.

If they do wind up trading him, why not, go for it. The way I see it, this passing offense is stuck in mediocrity when the top two targets are Moss and Cooley. To get to the next level offensively, you have to line up with something better than Moss, ARE, and Cooley.
The way I see it, it won't really matter until the QB makes his expected breakthrough. That could be this year, I mean Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger both broke out as 4th year players, but usually its the 5th season.

I think it would be smarter to wait until we see Campbell develop, and then go out and pay a lot for a receiver who may not be on the market yet at this point. Because then, you know he can come in and contribute from day one, as opposed to bringing him in and having him get frustrated while the QB is developing.

Well, obviously I should have added "it's my opinion" in that post.. Since everyone has their own opinion of true WR.. To me, a true WR is a hard working player who can catch the ball from any kind of QBs (he has proven it with Leinart, Warner, and perhaps one more QB? I'm not sure), and after he catches the ball - he can run fast and even hit defender who gets in his way.. Also the last thing of true WR, that player does not complain if he does not get enough ball or anything that does not go his way..

And yes, I did read the first post? If you are talking about the offer we made for CJ; then no I would not kiss Vinny's feet lol.. As I mentioned in earlier post, I don't feel right about giving up a 1st rd however it is Boldin we are talking about.. I have always believed that Cardinals have best WR duo, Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin - the players who happen to be hard working players who do not complain about anything.. What more can you ask from a player?

If you read the first post then I don't see how you can say Boldin doesn't complain or try to get attention when the whole premise of this thread is the report of Boldin demanding a trade.

Re: Trade for Boldin?

I would definitely get behind trading for Boldin. He would be a fine #2, he's a nice bruiser at wide receiver and he'd be a good complement to the speedier Moss. He's got height too and he's younger than Chad. I'd give up our first draft pick for him easily. He's not a head case either so we wouldn't have to worry about that.

Ah I see your point now, and yes you are right.. Boldin did request for trade (in this term, yes he did complain) however what he did was right.. He went to his coach and team and told them that he wants to be traded.. He did not what CJ did, he went to media and told people that he wants to be traded.. Am I not wrong?

So are you saying that it's "wrong" for anyone to want to be traded out from a team?

Take TO as an example, he blamed McNabb and complained to media.. Randy Moss, he plays when he feels like it and he does not watch what he says to the media.. Well at least until he became a Patriots..

Re: Trade for Boldin?

GridIron26 -- CJ went to the Bengals organization first, and then went to the media. Expect Boldin to do the same if he doesn't get his way. He's just as greedy as CJ. Sees that big contract Fitz has and knows there's not enough money for him. He's looking for a big payday too.

I guess we have different expectation of Boldin, I don't believe he will go to media once he does not get what he wants.. But you and SS will be first people I will tell, "you are right" if Boldin do what u guys expect him to do..

Yeah I don't see Boldin raising quite the huge stink that CJ has either.
