The guy he shot was most likely an Eagle fan, which should reduce the charges to a misdemeanor. That is if MH did it at all. I'd like to know where Mark Furman was during all of this.

It certainly sounds bad, but I'm kind of surprised you sound so certain. The details are still sketchy. Even assuming that his gun was indeed used in the shooting, how do you know he fired it?

Either way Harrison is screwed, PA State Law states that if the law can not determine who fired the gun, then the person that the gun is registered to will be prosecuted. And from what I saw on ESPN.COM the gun is registered to Harrison.

This smells a lot like the Taylor case circa 2005.

I'm predicting he won't get convicted of a felony here, though the trial should be quiet the circus.

Yeah, but then he's not screwed. He gets charged with a misdemeanor, and/or probably pleads out of it. Obviously not good on his criminal record, but I don't think he does any jail time for a misdemeanor.

This story is pretty surprising, but I don't really see this affecting his football career.

Yeah, he will probably plead out, but my point was that he still "should" be charged either for firing the gun or for it being it registered to him...

Maybe this isn't appropriate, but this totally makes me think of the Wayne Brady sketch from Chapelle show. Marvin Harrison just doesnt seem to fit this bill.

I really hope this is the case. I like Harrison alot. This sucks because they probably already have his bust made for Canton and he has to go and shoot somebody. I hope this does not affect his football career. Can you imagine what Peyton must be thinking? He seems like such a class act. I wish good luck to Harrison.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting

Well, it just goes to show you can't judge a book by its cover. Because Chad Johnson is loud and brash, it's assumed he's some sort of a-hole. And even though he's never been arrested, charged, suspected of any crime or misdemeanor many woudn't be surprised if this story was about him. Because Marvin Harrison is quiet and professional (even though he apparently almost never joins the team for film sessions and rarely goes into the huddle) it's assumed he's some sort of saint who could never possibly be guilty of such a crime.

Now I'm not saying he is, just saying let's not make assumptions.

Re: Colts Marvin Harrison questioned in Philly Shooting

Harrison always reminded me of a modern day Art Monk. Just a quiet and reserved person.

If he is guilty, I will be disappointed. Always felt he was different, but
looks like I may have been wrong.

The NFL needs more Darrell Green's and Art Monk's.

Agent says Harrison not involved in reported shooting

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison's agent says reports that Harrison is under investigation in his hometown of Philadelphia in connection with a shooting this week are untrue.

A shooting took place Tuesday near Harrison's North Philadelphia bar, a source told Anthony Gargano of Philadelphia's WIP Radio.

Harrison's agent, Tom Condon, told ESPN's Chris Mortensen: "I've spoken with Marvin and I've spoken with his attorney, and they say the reports are erroneous. Marvin was not involved in any shooting, and he is not the subject of this investigation."

Condon declined to answer any other questions.
