It's got to be a tie between the Wimbleton and the US Open. They were both great. And the NFL Superbowl wasn't far behind, either.

Since Champs League final wasn't up there , I went with the Super Bowl. I caught part of the Wimbledon match, and while Epic, my problem is that those 2 have been the Top 2 Men in Tennis for awhile now and nothing short of their performance would have captivated an audience.
Meanwhile, you have a team with a shot at destiny, a shot at Best NFL Team ever, and they lose to a team that had a ton of heart.

I went with because the guy had a torn ACL and stress fractures in his leg that left unable to walk up until a couple days before the event. All the options were great but in the end Tiger's will be the one I remember when I am old.

Re: The Best of the Best in 2008 (so far)?
I voted for the US Open because I think it has the most historical significance. There is a good chance that in 50 years it will be talked about as one of the greatest athletes ever's signature win. But wow, what a year its been. It is really hard to argue with any of those choices. I am still mad at myself for talking myself into sleeping through the Wimbledon Final because, I had incorrectly told myself, tennis is boring.

Re: The Best of the Best in 2008 (so far)?
With the US Open they really blew a big opportunity not to have the 18 hole playoff in prime time as they did the rest of the Open. I know it would have been a little slow with only two golfers but I would have really liked to seen the last 9 or so holes when I got home from work.
