Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
I doubt CP cares about trash talk from reporters or us cranky fans, but I think it's another issue with him when it comes from a former Redskin. And yeah, Brian Mitchell's "in the media," and "it's his job" and all, but still, isn't there some kinda code of the brotherhood?

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
They got him cooled off a little.
It's good to hear him get PISSED about the dedication, and conditioning stuff.

Didn't CP call out B-Mitch on the radio last year as well?

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
Sometimes B.Mitch goes overboard but he's 100% correct on this one. Portis' comments were out of line last week. Simple as that.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
So if the coach, QB, linemen or nobody else seemed to take issue with the comments either in the press or off the record-which always gets reported anyway, who were they out of line to?

That is what a locker room is for. Keep it in house and handle it in house. If Portis had an issue, he should have addressed it internally, and not vent it to the media. It is so "Chad Johnson" to do that. |

As far as B-mitch is concerned- I think he's in bounds to call out Portis for running his mouth last week. But I understand why Portis got pissed about the conditioning/commitment comments. He spent all offseason here in DC working out with the team and taking on a larger role as a leader. If anything his commitment and conditioning has improved over the past year. And Clinton has worked hard for that. So if he felt like his hard work and dedication was being discounted by B-Mitch, then I he had every right to be pissed off. B-Mitch is a pain in the ass.

We don't really know if anyone took an issue with it or not. I'm sure something was said behind closed doors.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
b-mitch is, simply put, an ASS. he consistantly tries to get under peoples skin. he and portis have been at it for years. i think portis just finally let out his feelings after keeping them bottled up for so long. b-mitch is mr. negativity, i wish he would shut up and go away.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
I think if you understand Portis and his personality that what he said wasn't that offensive and the media took it out of context. I'm glad he blasted BMitch. I get sick of him trashing his let's trash "Skin pick of the week".

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air
I get how CP is. And I understand that it was taken a little out of context, and I think BMitch runs his mouth too much. But if CP thinks that there are no running lanes because teams don't respect the passing game then fine. I actually agree with him. But don't throw your QB and wr's under the bus to the media. Keep that crap in house.
