Sometimes B.Mitch goes overboard but he's 100% correct on this one. Portis' comments were out of line last week. Simple as that.

So if the coach, QB, linemen or nobody else seemed to take issue with the comments either in the press or off the record-which always gets reported anyway, who were they out of line to?

Yeah, I was wondering why he kept referring to Thompson as Robinson.

If the coach, QB, and linemen DID have issue with the comments, do you honestly think they are going to tell the media about it?

That is what a locker room is for. Keep it in house and handle it in house.

If Portis had an issue, he should have addressed it internally, and not vent it to the media. It is so "Chad Johnson" to do that.

We've all seen "un-named sources said" things when someone speaks out of school.. They may not call him out specifically in the press, but if there's dissension than it's never a secret to the press. When someone says what he said, if it was a true problem, it gets out.

And that it so "Chad Ocho Cinco" to you sir.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air

Portis's comments were of frustration. The "media" wants to create a stir and say CP isn't the same RB. Anyone who's knows football, knows that CP doesn't have a great offensive line and has a below avg passing game. This causes the other team to key on the RB's.

Portis was probably sick of hearing this and vented. It would seem to me that people expect athletes not to vent every now and again, like they are some sort of super human. He simply sais he didn't have the holes to run thru consistently in JG's offense. If he did then you would see the #'s. Guess what, he's right!!

I wonder how much of it was CP venting or just that reporter's spin on that "story".

It was in the article as a Quote from Portis and he also said he would like to run behind a better line for one game (not in those words but thats what it meant). If you think thats not a slap in the face to the guys infront of him I don't know what is and I'm sure some lineman called him out in private.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air

Ive listened to half of this and as much I hate Bmitch, I think CP is wrong on this one.

he is just a bit outta control and obviously emotionally. CP is clearly upset upset but Bmitch didnt do anything wrong guys. As an analyst Mitch can say whatever he wants, who cares if it is right, it gets you to listen right? mitch isnt news, he is an analyst, therefore he gives an opinion. Sorry but CP is wrong on this one.

Just listen to it.

Re: Portis calling out B-mitch on the air

BTW CP is mad that Mitch takes shots at CP for sharing carries with Ladell, CPs comments last week about the line, etc.

EDIT: what really hurts Portis in this argument is that he is pretty much suggesting that he should fight with Mitch.
