My father is in the beginning stages of his second bout with cancer. Early indications are not good. He's 55.

Damn Matty, my condolences to your and your wife. I only got to know my grandfather for 5 years before he passed away from cancer in late '93. It just sucks.

Sorry, I'm late with responding here. I believe that people who lose loved ones to cancer are part of a family in a sense -- especially when it's one of our parents. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer three years ago on June 18. We were lucky to have her for three and half years after diagnosis, and she had a chance to see two grandchildren born. Some aren't so lucky.
I know what both of you are going through. Hang in there. |
