But nah, they barely knew each other. Sure...

Obama has a LONG list of friends and associates of questionable morality. This is not a one-time stretch, it's a pattern of bad judgment and unclear intentions by Obama.

Rev. Wright
Tony Rezko
William Ayers
Rashid Khalidi
Nadhmi Auchi
Frank Davis
Louis Farrakhan
Raila Ordinga
Daniel Ortega
others...

This is something that should have been brought up before he was nominated for the Democrat ticket, but the media didn't want to damage his campaign.

Also, the NEW YORK TIMES put an article on their front page to raise the issue a few days ago.

But nah, we can't look into his background, that would be racist.

I'm with you on this. If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck - it's a duck.

What does "questionable committee" mean?

I spend non-work time with thousands of people. I was in a bar just yesterday with a regular who watches Bears games while I watch Redskins games. We don't hang out or anything, but we run into each other because we live in the same neighborhood, go to the same bar, and run into each other when we are trying to watch our home town teams play football. Let's just say, for argument's sake, that he's a felon. Do my run-ins with the guy say anything about my character? Nope. None. Nada.

Where did you get the info that Obama launched his campaign from Ayers' home?

Did you read the article? It discounted the minimal connections as just that, minimal and insigificant.

Why did race even enter your mind? When did anyone in this thread allege racism? People have alleged "retaradism," but not racism. Are you saying that people can't criticize Obama without being called racist? Yeah, because Obama has been immune from attacks because of his race.

It's these kind of smear campaigns that make me an independent. I'm so tired of each "side" trying to make mountains out of mole hills and resorting to the same lame political tactics. What's even more amazing is how very smart people manage to buy into "their side's" bulls&#t.

You'll do a lot of things people wouldn't expect when you see your last chance at the highest office slipping away...though quite honestly, I really believe McCain was not behind that. That said, he is the leader of that ship and the buck stops with him.

As for Obama's connections, sure he is "connected" to some questionable characters. But so is Clinton, so is Bush...and so is McCain. How about we point out some of McCain's shady connections? This is politics, not pre-school.

And as for the racism slant, well that's stupid. Simply stupid.

I wish.

But more than anything else I wish people would shut their traps and stick to the issues. This "connection" campaign on both sides are weak attempts to sway votes. If anything else, it turns me off to the candidate that throws the connections out in the first place. Maybe if the candidates actually cared about sticking to the actual issues, like fixing the economy, as much as they do trying to screw over the other person's campaign, we wouldn't be in such a grand mess like we are now. (Or at least would be a step closer to fixing it)

Geez. I wish these political idiots would grow up.

Obama is putting his gloves on. I am sure he would have been better served to do town hall meetings with McCain.

That is some serious criminal behavior.
