Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
There is no push to get JT back now, we have been to war the last two weeks and been just fine without him. We have what should be a few three lighter games than we have been facing the last five weeks.
Let him heal up completely, we will need him down the stretch. No sense in bringing him back prior to healing fully or at least very close to fully. And risking further injury or any more setbacks. He will be valuable in our playoff run.

I think he will play, I just hope it does not set him back in any way.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
He's 34. Exactly when would we be saving him for?
If he's healthy enough where he is the best option we have at LDE, he should be playing.

Exactly. "Saving him" is nonsense. When you play in the NFL you're never 100%.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
As soon as he's 100%, play the man. If he's not 100%, rest him until he is.
I don't think anybody's sure exactly how healthy he is. But 100% needs to be the policy. No need to coddle him beyond that, no need to risk anything by rushing him back. If he's 100% this weekend, let's get him in there and let him eat up the Rams offensive line.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
The bye is still a long ways off. If he needs that much time, fine. But as soon as he's 100% or very close to it, you've gotta get him back in there.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
We need pressure against the Rams and apparantly we can only get this with him in there.
Play him situationally on 3rd and long...dependant on score if he can handle it. Beating Philly and Dallas without his says a lot. He needs to feel part of a winning team again....that does a lot for the healing process....so does sacking Bulger for a loss of 10.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
The Rams would be a good team for him to get well against. Coming back with a sack or two would do a lot for JT's confidence coming off an injury.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
JT probably wants to play badly. He's a competitor and it must be bugging him that he wasn't there for the two big wins against divisional opponents. As people say, if he's 100% he should suit up and get himself back into midseason form.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
I was just answering the question "he is 34. what are you saving him for". The season is very long and brutal on the players, if he can take an extra week or two to heal up, then now would be the time to take it, not Nov 23/30 or late Dec when we are hopefully trying to clinch playoffs and home field. Saving him doesn't have to mean for next year.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
He has said sitting on the bench is something he isn't use to. He does'nt feel like a part of the team. If it is left up to him, he will play.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
Only if they are all well and ready to go! We need them all season be it Taylor or Springs. If they arn't 100% a week or even two isn't going to kill us.

Re: Jason Taylor: will he play next week?
I guess we should use the next three games as a chance to rest the nicked and to get our subs some playing time. As long as the backups are playing well and winning, get Marcus, Shawn, Taylor and Heyer fully healed up. Once they are as close to being 100% as possible, then play them.
There just isn't any need to rush anyone back for St. Louis, Cleveland or the Lions.
