Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
TE's are not meant to run end arounds, I think it was a pretty bad call on Zorn.

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
I thought he looked like he was going to throw it, and that's why he wasn't running at full speed.

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
I know that, but still you have to figure any TEs running and end around option pass, are going to be a lot slower than any WR. Doesnt seem to be an effective play to me. If I were a DB, I see a TE running an end around, I will let my LBs get to him because chances are he is not that quick to break a hole and I will stick on my WR because it just seems fishy.

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
Well be prepared to see it again cause last week Zorn said he probably would run it again. He stated it was not Davis's fault for the no yards. He said the Browns D picked the best play to use against that play and when Davis came around the end the Browns were waiting for him. He stated it was just a good play decision on the Browns part. Supposedly they used some sort of blitz package and both ends sealed of the ends causing Davis to try and force it outside further then the end of the line.

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
Zorn said today that the team is going to rest Kelly until after the bye week then push it hard and see how it responds. If it flares up he will then go on IR.
Saw the video on redskins.com, not sure how to link to it. |

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
practice squad is for players before they have two accrued seasons... i think you get a season counted if you're on the 53 man roster (active or inactive) for like, 8 games in a single year...

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
sign a safety? what are you high? we already have 4. how is adding a 5th safety going to help us at all? going with only 4 receivers is risky. what happens if one of them gets banged up and becomes injured? what do we do then? just roll with 3?

Re: Who is available to replace Kelly?
I'm not saying anything about throwing them into the fire....I'm talking about putting someone on our practice squad if we move one up from practice squad. Maybe someone who can learn the offense for a half a yr and who knows what could happen next yr.
