Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread
AO bobble-head give-away night. Anyone going to make it out to Verizon Center?
I'm pretty amped about the Caps this year, I've been to about 6 home games so far, and they're cheap as dirt... especially for students.

Varalmov Faces the Blues | DC Pro Sports Report -- Sports news, stats and analysis from the capital of the free world
Simeon Varlamov gets his second NHL start after winning his debut last week in Montreal, stopping 32 of 33 shots. Kid is good, real good. Flexible, aggressive, and can't get rattled.

That was a good game last night. I was (am) super sick, so it made my night on the couch, ok.

That was a great game last night. Caps are looking good and they have a bright future. Props to Leonsis, McPhee, and Boudreau for doing it right.
If this keeps up, we may have to bump the Caps up to the Locker Room and move the Redskins down to Other Sports

Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread
I only caught about five minutes of the game, but luckily it happened to be the beginning of the 3rd period when Ovie completely Happy Gilmored the puck past the goalie. That shot was F'ing amazing!

The CAPS are rolling. 5 in a row now, and no signs of slowing down. This is not only the top tier team in the East but a premier team in the league. And have a good chance if they keep this play up to represent for LORD STANLEY! Except the great 28 went down against the blues and so did Green. But per Caps insider Green should be ready to go today, didn't sound so great for Semin. (The good news is this CAPS team at one point had 10 out and has been unreal at filling holes in the roster with call ups from Hersey! GREAT WORK.) Today we face who else but philly. Lets recap shall we the site is turning into a CAPS/redskins forum....but this might be thread worthy when was the last time the wizards played philly in DC on Friday, CAPS play philly in philly on Saturday for an afternoon game, and the SKINS play philly at home on the same weekend? Not sure if the Wizards won last night, but wouldn't that take a miracle? The other two games are very winnable!

Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread
WOW! Damn what a come back to CAP off the rangers!!!
Quick breakdown, Caps down 3-0 in the first! Get one back in the second but so do the rangers. Start the 3rd 4-1 rangers big lead. CAPS GO 3 UNANSWERED! Tie it up at 4-4 In to OT WE GO, CAPS PUT THE BISCUIT IN THE BASKET TO GET THE WIN...UNREAL Goal scorers in order: 1.OVY 2.FLASH 3.KOZZY 4.OVY-AGAIN/You know the usual GREAT 8 5.MORRISONN-OT BLAST TO GET THE WIN! Jose in net in the 1st pulled after the third goal. Replaced with ailing Johnson. Jose went back in to start the 2nd got some composure and finished. Still a little worried about Theo..? What a FREAKIN COMEBACK,WOW! GO CAPS!!!!

Re: Washington Capitals 2008-2009 ongoing thread
Got off work and sort wasted a little time at the bar before I went home...
Glad I did, because I got to see a hell of a comeback. This team has some serious character... we may be a player or two away from the cup but we sure as hell look great.
