Re: 5 is our playoff number? Pick em'
Its going to be almost impossible for a 10-6 team to make the NFC wildcard spot. Both the NFC South and East are too deep.

Dallas_loss
Seattle_win Giants_win Baltimore_loss Cincy_win Philly(westbrook wont be healthy by then)_win San Francisco to secure our spot_win That's finishing 5-2. I really think we can play better than the Giants. But we struggle against teams that are good at stopping the run, ie Baltimore. I don't feel the Flacco is going to have a good week against us. Hall returns a punt for td in that game. |

Re: 5 is our playoff number? Pick em'
11/16 Dallas @ Washington W 27-17
11/23 Washington @ Seattle L 24-12 11/30 NYG @ Washington L 17-14 12/07 Washington @ Baltimore L 14-10 12/14 Washington @ Cincinnati W 37-9 12/21 Philadelphia @ Washington W 26-17 12/28 Washington @ San Francisco W 44-0 we better beat dallas I don't think we'll travel well to the west coast... we never really have... and the weather will probably be a factor, so i'll give the hawks that game. baltimore is tough as crap and playing excellent football in every aspect right now. baltimore with a potent offense is scary as hell... NY is also a great team, but is the loss I think we have the best chance at getting a surprise W. Expectations have a lot to do with it. going to cincy, our guys will vent some frustrations, then decide it feels good to score points and our rookie recievers will play a much bigger role by the years end... opening up our offense more and we will score points. philly will come in and look anemic. their D will hold us to several field goals, though..... then SF comes in and gets routed as we try to will ourselves into the wildcard spot with 10 wins.

Skins finish 13-3 period. That was my prediction before the season and I'm sticking with it.

Matt Ryan is looking like he's doing some great things. But I'm not fully sold on them quite yet. The Panthers however are solid and a team to be reckoned with.

Dallas W
Seattle L New York L Baltimore L Cincinnati W Philadelphia W San Francisco W We always seem to have a big losing streak followed by a big winning streak at the end of the year, and I think that trend will continue. 10-6 with the 6th seed in the playoffs. |

I think we're only taking at most 4 of those games. No way do we finish 11-5 unless we make some big improvements on Offense. I see us losing to Baltimore, NYG and Dallas/PHI.

Re: 5 is our playoff number? Pick em'
In the beginning of the season I had the skins going 11-5. The Giants are looking good sitting at 8-1 BUT has anyone looked at the Giants schedule?! The Giants are good but they are going to have to play some tough teams that I can realistically see them losing to. They also have 3 remaining NFC EAST games which just happen to be in a row starting with us. I know this is a big IF but what if the Skins and that Giants both end up having 11-5 records or identical records at the end of the season. What ya guys think?

Re: 5 is our playoff number? Pick em'
I don't think the Redskins make the playoffs if they lose at home this week. I don't think Dallas makes it regardless, but I think Atlanta and/or Tampa will get to 11-5, and keep us out of the playoffs.
10-6 gets us in ONLY if we can finish second in the division. So if we lose to NYG, and Baltimore in consecutive weeks, but beat Philly, I think we still have a one game margin for error in the other 4 games (Cinci, SF, Sea, Dallas). As I mentioned in another thread, I'm confident that a three game winning streak right now will allow us to win the NFC East. I don't see the Giants beating both Baltimore and Arizona in their next two games, I see them splitting those. If we can beat them, we will knot it up at 9-3. I also think they will lose to Philly OR Dallas in their last few games, so that would put them at 12-4 for the year. We can hold that tiebreaker if we can will all three of our home division games. I believe Philly will be the toughest of those games. If we don't go 3-0 the rest of November, I think we're playing for a wild card.

Re: 5 is our playoff number? Pick em'
Objectively, I say we beat Dallas, Seattle, New York, then lose to Baltimore, beat Cinci, lose to Philly, and beat SF. 11-5 and a second place finish in the NFC East. That gives us the 5th seed in the playoffs and a likely trip to Chicago or Minnesota in the wild card round.

Re: 5 is our playoff number? Pick em'
Undoubtedly, this is the most important three game stretch in recent memory for Redskins football. Yeah, we've done more impressive things just to make the playoffs, but this team has a chance to do some seriously great things by winning a tough division. Here's hoping.
