Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
Happens to the best of us. Even though he's a Giant I hate to see Plax going down this road. He's a local product around here and the sky's the limit for someone with this much talent. I wish these guys would realize all that money will also get you the best pychological treatment money can buy. I would think the commish would have to step in on this one. Hopefully he won't continue to throw away the talent he's been blessed with.

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
I'll say I was curious to see what the Skins fans reaction was to this incident and I'm glad to see that in general, everyone is pretty respectful.
Seems like everyone agrees it is a good thing that it wasn't more serious and that he really needs to start taking his life/career more seriously. |

I don't thnk Plax has been involved in anything like this before as opposed to Pacman who has been arrested 6 times while in the NFL.Pax is stupid ....no argument he did'nt hurt anyone else but himself and his teamates. |

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
Have you guys ever thought that maybe he brought the gun with him to club for protection? Since there are some people who are targeting NFL players and all other celebrities..
I'm not saying that he's not stupid to bring it or whatever, but everyone deserve some benefit of doubts.. |

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
they say bad things happen to bad people. why was he in the club, with a loaded weapon? probably explains the 50 or so times he was late for meetings. we all have our priorities....

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
You suspend a player for shooting himself? The only issue right now is if NY presses any charges againt him for breaking any laws that might apply. He is out of the hosptal and I heard his injury will not in danger career.

I don't understand the need to be in clubs. Especially at his age. If he was 23 or 24 years old, maybe. But he's 31. I'm 30, and I haven't wanted to go to clubs for a while now. Everyone is different- I understand that - but we all know damn well if he wanted to party with girls, music, and booze, he has the kind of money and connections to make it happen AT HIS HOUSE. MEMO TO PRO ATHLETES: when you go out to public places late at night with guns and alcohol, bad shit happens.

A friend who knows one of the Giant trainers said,he'll be able to play in 2 weeks.Forget the state or the NFL,....what in the hell will Coughlin and the GM Reese do to him,he might actually owe the Giants money, big bonus money, could even null and void his contract. |

Re: Plaxico Shot in Club
Night Club + Pistol + Shooting Yourself...sounds like a Dave Chappelle skit. I guess he won't be playing this Sunday which is A-OK with me. Plastico, you might want to learn how to operate a handgun before you wield one you f'ing moron...you know, to avoid shooting yourself in the future.
p.s. I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants release his ass. I know I would.
