Re: Portis and Zorn meet
I've been sick of Portis ever since he criticized the offensive line back in September. He can't stand it if he's not the reason the Redskins win a game, and if they lose he doesn't want to accept any of the blame. Maybe Portis should criticize the O-Line again because that's when they started winning. Why didn't the Redskins just sit him for a game, maybe even without pay for comments detrimental to the team. I'd rather see Ladell and Sellers run the ball more rather than Whiney-Britches. I think of them as more true Redskins and W-B as a Denver import.
Can you believe we traded a future Hall of Famer for him? Plus a second round pick??? Gibbs should have to take him and TJ Duckett and put them on his NASCAR payroll. Plus Brandon Lloyd! |

These guys are humans. They have feelings. They get upset just like you and me. Did Portis handle his anger in a distasteful fashion? Probably. But for these people calling him whiney and crybaby and bitchy. I would love for those same people to go out there on a football field for 4-5 months, play through pain and adversity, go through a 5 game losing streak and then come back here and say, that it's wrong to bitch or be upset. Hypocrites. Edit: Okay there was a win in there somewhere. I think we've lost 4 of 5. Oh well. Its still shitty.

Re: Portis and Zorn meet
Does it occur to anyone else that we scored POINTS once Zorn decided to move to more aggressive passing attack and sat Portis?
I am just sayin' |

Re: Portis and Zorn meet
I actually like passing more. It was refreshing to see a game based more on passing rather than run, draw, screen, punt. Besides. We couldn't run through that Ravens D anyway. It would've been a waste of time.

Re: Portis and Zorn meet
What a surprise! They met and talked!
This kinda shit happens to NFL teams when they lose 4 out of 5. It's a learning experience for Zorn, but I certainly don't see him as a "my way or the highway" inflexible type guy. And CP, is, well, CP. He's frustrated and he blows off steam. Wish he had done it in house, but whatever. Winning is the only real cure for this type of thing. And to be honest, if they all weren't pissed and frustrated, then I'd be worried. That would be a real sign of "checking out."

Re: Portis and Zorn meet
The only silver lining of y'all winning the SB (outside of keeping the pats from an undefeated season, MAYBE) was that Tiki wasn't there.

Which, helps us now. Because like NY last year, we probably don't deserve the playoffs at all, but could still win the SB.

Re: Portis and Zorn meet
Bottom line guys. Without Portis we lose. We know it. Redskins know it. Portis knows it. Running all season hurt and still one of the best in the NFL. I think he deserves and has earned respect. Blocks better than most O linemen. If anyone is protectin J.C. Portis is when he's not running.

Re: Portis and Zorn meet
Maybe, but on the TD we got the ball at the baltimore 30 and made 5 plays, and scored. I am not attributing it solely to strategy, but how many times have we been in opponents territory, and struggled finding the endzone?
