Re: Dexter

Sunday night's episode was just sloppy. How did the ex cop know that Dexter was going for the van? How does Debra's partner not check out the van thoroughly after he was called there? I could add a couple of more things but that episode was plain sloppy and un-Dexter-esque. I just can't imagine what kind of bullshit they wrote into the script to get him out of this mess. They are trying to make the last episode suspensfull for the sake of having suspense. There is no reason for that crap. Just let him put Pierce on his table, frame him for the murder, and screw Lumin's brains out. It's not that flippin difficult.

Yeah. I agree. The whole van thing was just sloppy sloppy. Also, it's flat out murder by Dexter. Not sure there is any justification in "the code" for killing the guy who catches you. Especially when that guy is cop, dirty or not.

I think they just tried to do too much. Really, was the whole "snooping on Dexter" necessary? Wasn't the fact that the police were closing in on Josh/Eugene enough to drive to create a possible confrontation with his sister? We got dead bodies everywhere with Lumin's footprints all over the place.

Too many loose ends to be cleaned up so they won't be able to do so neatly or plausibly. Instead, we will need a huge explosion that kills Lumin, the partner, Josh and all the evidence.

Didn't we do that two years ago with a convenient gas leak?

I didn't, that I know. Don't think you want to be saying that in a public forum IF you did that.

Re: Dexter

Ok it's the first time I haven't Liked a Season of Dexter it started good with a lot of potential butit just fell flat and the season finale was CRAP as hell I know you can't end with another cliffhanger as big as last year but this episode and whole conclusion was just baaaaaaad.

It left me with a bad taste in my mouth last year I couldn't wait for this season to start now I'm just glad it's over... I don't know if the wroters are losing their touch or ran out of ideas but this whole season had way too many holes and it was boring and predictable.

Too bad let's hope it bounces back next year or I'll be forced to change my Dogs name.

Re: Dexter

Holes? What holes? You mean like

- Dexter blowing the blood work so that Quinn can get off and no one catching it. (Okay, maybe).

- The Van has Quinn's prints all over it, the last phone calls right before death are all to Quinn, and all the survelliance equipment was signed out to Quinn, but, ta-daa, the blood on his shoe is not a match and now Quinn is above suspicion?

- Fortunately, the guy carried the entire results of his survelliance in the van and did not have any of it in at his home/apt. or, if he did, that the police just didn't think to look there even though "if we find who he has been spying on, we find his killer".

- For having only one hour to clean it up and not have done any prep work, the kill room appears to have been remarkably clean with no trace of Jordan, Lumin, or Dexter's blood - despite all the fighting through out.

- Wrecked stolen car with Dexter's blood & fingerprints all over it.

- Ummmm, Emily? Bloody dead body still just lying around with Jordan's and Lumin's footprints.

- Oops. Jordan and his chief of security have disappeared. Oh well, we'll just file this incredibly high profile disappearance under the unsolved case and leave it at that.

Okay, stopping now.

<sigh> Like I said, I think they tried to do way too much. Get rid of the survelliance subplot and the rest could have been made much tighter. It just seemed so superfluous (After Quinn confronted the son from last year and gets suspended was there anything else needed on that storyline?).

There were times things I liked about it, but, generally, didn't match up to the prior seasons.
