It isn't that this years defense is a fluke. It's that last years defense was a fluke. People that don't believe the skins have something special did not watch the game. What I saw was a dominant defense, dominant pass protection, smart coaching, few penalties, and a solid running attack. I'm pretty sure the Ravens used these same things to win the Superbowl a few years back... and by the way, the skins offense will be leaps and bounds better by the end of this year. We just need to win enough to get to the playoffs and then we should be hitting on all cylinders again!
Let the critics talk. The play on the field will tell the real story. |

The O line is a question mark? They stood toe to toe with Kiffins line with a healthy Rice and McFarland and ok no Sapp but was he a factor last year? It is also not like they just held on either so many times did the comentators mention the protection and time Brunell was getting was outstanding. The holding penalty on Jones was a sacrifice it was either that or have Brunell taken down for a saftey and that would have been a huge momentum change.
I can still see the D line being a question mark as the Bucs had three new starters on the O and the rest of the offence still needs to start clicking but the lack of an explosive O against the Bucs was partly first day gitters and part game plan. You start chucking it around against the Bucs and forcing things to happen then thier line backers and backfield are going to eventually get that game changing pick. |

Let everyone keep talking, we will keep cheering and somewhere down the line in the next 2-3 years it will be back to glory for ol DC.

Second, if someone is still questioning the offensive line they are obviously ignorant and still going off of what the preseason talk was all about, and he definitely did not watch a meaningful portion of the game on sunday. Let 'em talk, who cares, especially on that show no less. |
