Dang! That's what was calling out for me. BBQ! We spent 3 hours debating where we we're going to eat for lunch. Settled for a Pizza Den buffett, but I knew I wanted BBQ. The day is ruined.

I'm getting ready to hit the Subway around the corner myself. They usually have damn good tuna salad. I always make it a combo with Cool Ranch Doritos and a large Diet Coke. I think today I may have a few oatmeal raisin cookies with it.

I'm fortunate, I work in the heart of downtown Bethesda. I usually try to pack a lunch to save money, but if I don't, there are tons of choices.

Quizno's has new ads saying that they've lowered their prices, but they neglect to say that their subs are noticably smaller. That poop annoys me.
Their prime rib peppercorn sub is off the chain. But I have a monster appetite so I need to get a large, and by the time you make it a combo it's like $11 and change. Way too expensive.

I miss Bethesda. Which Subway are you hitting up?

The little one on Wisconsin right next to Modell's, across from Uno's Pizza and the big movie theater.

I just finished my sandwich actually. Damn good "sandwich artists" in that store.

Re: What's for lunch?

Oh yeah, I know exactly which one you're talking about. I used to live 2 minutes from there. You ever go to the Quiznos right around the corner from there, heading down toward Woodmont Ave? Good artists there too

Oh for sure. I love Quizno's. When is the last time you've been in Bethesda? The area around Woodmont Ave behind the movie theater has really been built up, with plenty of good restaurants.

Good old Tommy Joe's is always a solid place for appetizers and beers after work.

To me sushi is the perfect lunch. Just enough to eat, you're not too full, and it's tasty as hell.

The last time I was in downtown has been a while, a year or so. I'm in the general area occassionally visiting family.

I used to live right on Woodmont, across from the Metro.

Wow, great location for a place. My girlfriend and I looked around in Bethesda last fall for a place, but we settled on Silver Spring (which used to be so damn ghetto, but has really improved). We both work in Bethesda, but it's only like a 3.5 mile commute down East-West Hghwy, so it's really easy.

After living in Gainesville for almost 9 years, it's been really nice being back around the old stomping grounds. Bethesda has great eats.

Thats what I wanted today but the bank in the same parking lot had a bomb scare so I stayed away. The place near me has great BBQ and last summer Bobby Fay (from the food network) came down and had a cook off with them and they beat Bobby. So that shows how good their BBQ is and yea, the 50 or so trophy's sitting around says so too.
