Re: Unknown draft prospects we should keep an eye on

Nflnick11, Funny I started looking each of your choices up in "Lindy's Pro Football Draft" and found quite a few there. Then I thought I would write the remarks here, but it would be alot of writing. lol. Then I noticed for each player they say something like....."He has solid hands, never out of the play, good closing speed" then they say in the negatives ..."He get caught up at the line of scrimage, can't get off blocks, can't keep up with elite NFL WR's." lol.

Same with the DE's. It was " Solidly built athlete, room for additional mass, Long arms, Good lateral quickness, can close quickly with an open lane." then they say..." Lacks height and bulk in his lower body, Marginal strength at point of attack, can be targeted in the run game, runs around blocks and not through them." lol.

All the good points are their negatives also. lol. So I gave up. Best if the coach's observed film on them. See if they fit in to our scheme and bring them in.

id be down for bringing in anyone from that texas tech o-line, they were plain nasty this past season. rylan reed would be a great pickup as an undrafted free agent or a late round pick imo

Go Hokies!

lol yeah i know, i was hoping the same thing. Ohwell, goodluck though to where ever Macho, and Martin go to. I know ill be watching out for them

Re: Unknown draft prospects we should keep an eye on

gotta ask you hokies about Ryan Shuman the center from VT. I knew the kid and his dad a long time ago (his dad is a legendary coach in VA) so i know he has the smarts and can play both G/C. but I only got to see VT play 2 times this year so im not sure where his game is at. Read that He put both Raji and Brace on the ground ant the senior bowl, but he is familiar with those two from playing BC, and not too much was made of it. I read hes anywhere from the # 7-16 C in the draft so he should be able to later round/udfa but is his game good enough? room to improve or has he maxed out...any input from you VT guys would help!

Re: Unknown draft prospects we should keep an eye on

two things here
my favorite sleeper in this years draft is starting to get noticed, specifically by the Pats and browns, because he's being brought in to work out privately, not sure if the skins went to his pro day, but people know he's a great corner and returner

according to charley casserly, his sources are saying that Lawrence sidbury isn't a sleeper anymore, because almost every NFL team was at his pro day, and he could, again according to C C, he could go in the second round now...crap we need a guy like him...

Re: Unknown draft prospects we should keep an eye on

According to KFFL, we're 'very' interested in Dan Skuta, DE, Grand Valley State, who would be a SLB in the pros.

Not that I have a personal interest in pimping Grand Valley players or anything.
